Birthday ideas for a 12 year old in Disney

We are going to Disney in March 2009 and my little cousin is turning 12. What could we do?? We don't want to do anything real big that costs a whole lot of money, but something fun!! Any ideas?

Call beforehand and let the resort know, they will have a special surprise in the room for her, at no cost!

Is her actual birthday during your stay? With the new celebration, she will get either free admission or a give card!



Also, at check in make sure to get her a birthday button!

If you want to do something during table service, make ADR's for Whispering Canyon Cafe at the WL. Tell them it's his Bday and you want it as embarassing as possible. We did for our sons 12th bday. What they did for him was ask him to stand up, got everybody to sing HBD as all the servers got a spoon out of his sight, ( he was holding a small cake on a plate ), then at the end every server to a piece off his plate, when the last server came up he went to take a piece then just took the whole plate. He then said as he stuffed his mouth, come back tomorrow I like it when you celebrate your Bday. Oh, by the way this was at breakfast, and the food was great too. Also our server gave him another cake.

Is it a girl or a boy? I would definely call ahead and let the resort know - you usually find something in your room for special events - get the bday button - and it is get in free on your bday. If a girl, you can do something at Bibbiddi Bobbiti Salon. I think a character meal or show would be fun - let them know it is a bday when you check in. Also, although I did not care for it, Whispering Canyon at WL made a huge deal of my bday (the DH had to ride around on a wooden horsey singing happy bday). Hopefully this helps!!
