ok, that is a deal. :sohappy: harry and vern wearing something with mickey on it.... that is surprising :lol: im not certain i have ever seen them without anything disney. ill wear one of my themed shirts as well. we must take pictures and post either here or our other location.
hmm, i might bring a change of clothes since im meeting my mother at the car dealership to help her negociate. im not certain those guys will take my bargining serious if i have my mickey ears on.
EDIT: oh, sam wont make it since she is getting her mom from the nursing home that day. she usually gets her saturday, but we have a ALL DAY class on birthing a child.

When I was on my honeymoon (we went to Europe for 17 days), Cindy really wanted me to buy something. When I finally made a purchase she was incredibly happy. :lol:Wow. An all day class. OK, Harry on the left [Vernon taking the pic?], who's who for the other two?

Just ironed some nice clothes and talked to the family. Now, I AM going to enjoy some of this great weather. There is some building with 4 turrets that I can see from my room (9th floor of Doubletree, facing the Subway and Starbucks across the street). Looks like a big old castle. It is partially obscured by another structure. Now, I have a goal for my walk.
OK, so the castle thing wasn't very impressive up close. I have my beater digital camera with me and no cable to upload photos, but I will do so once I get home. The castle is apparently a run down apartment building. I pray the camera makes it home with me OK. The car in front of the castle that I got a picture of makes it worth it. I didn't get a picture of the angry looking, probable drug dealer guy who glared at me once he noticed I was taking pictures. :lookaroun

Oops! Forgot to warn you which direction not to walk to from your hotel! Go North, South, or East, but NOT west!!! I guess you know that now, though. The castle used to be a high class apartment building, but now it's just sitting there empty. The park in front of it is kind of known for drug dealers and homeless people.

i should have gotten you to come over to my house and help plant 7 massive bushes i just got done with. needless to say, im skipping the gym tomorrow.

I haven't been to Brookwood Mall in forever. They have a Golden Rule in there now?
It was great talking to you! Yeah, I went over to the castle. I even lingered and took a few pictures with my hard to use, old, crappy camera. There is a Golden Rule in the "not at all Colonial" Brookwood Mall (Harry explained to me Colonial was the ownership group, not the theme). I thought it may have been the worst attempt at theming in history.
Joel - Earlier in this thread you asked me if I had ever been to Jim N' Nick's at 5 Points. Last night, I realized the answer is yes. I drink a couple of Guiness Drafts there every evening I'm here. I never paid attention to the name before last night.

OK, so the "beater" camera worked just well enough to get a few pics for my award winning photojournalism essay.
One of the four turrets as I approached.
One of the main entrance doors with missing glass
And the best picture of all, this top of the line motor vehicle parked out front
I tried to get a few more pictures. I especially liked the litter filled courtyard with a spray painted "tenants only" sign. But, after I took my picture of the car a very large angry man emerged from an apartment complex across the street and began taking pics of me with his cell phone. He then started to talk on his cell phone, glaring at me the whole time. I decided to head back to the safety of the DoubleTree and see if they had any false mustaches for sale.
Finally, here is my group pic. I think it's the best looking one. I'm trying to convince myself that it has to do with my superior photographic skills. :lookaroun
