I mean, there’s really only 5 ways to resolve that.

Increase prices, add attendance hard-caps (reservations), add capacity (they have been at Disneyland and seems more capacity is imminent in WDW), make the product worse, or decrease APs.

They’ve been doing a combination of all-of-the-above, but really the only one everyone can get behind is adding more capacity, everything else people complain about.
I am ok with some of those fixes. I am not ok with anything that make the experience complicated.

For a while adding capacity would be great but soon Induced Demand would eat new gates for lunch. All things the same (global economy) you could add 5 parks and it would do nothing except probably make it worse.

The thing about crowding (unpleasantness) is that it is a good demand limiter. It certainly eliminated my demand for WDW. ...and I am pretty sure I am not the demo they are trying to reduce (as in, I spend phenomenal amounts at the park),

In my view, it's a tie between Genie plus and the elimination of resort perks.

My least favorite part about visiting WDW has always been waiting in lines. There once was a free way to mitigate lines called Fastpass. Disney terminated that program and then told its guests that they can only avoid long lines if they pay Disney much more money for an inferior product called Genie plus. That's pretty magical.

The loss of Magical Express, one hour extra magic hours, etc. means that my family won't be returning to the World until things change.

That’s another thing they should bring back too. Magical Express. What’s funny is that they ended their deal with Mears with the anticipation of the Disney Brightline train that would’ve been in Disney springs. Then they cancelled that project too. So now there’s really no plan to stay in that Disney bubble like we did before. If I were Iger, I’d try to make a new deal with Mears, or with another bus transportation company and bring it back.

I couldn't pick just one. I picked "other" officially though. The removal of Splash Mountain for sure is very unpopular so that might be #1 right now. Also the paid Genie+ lines. Or even having a fastpass/Genie+ line at all is bothersome to me. It just clogs things up in my opinion. There is no flow to the lines.

Lastly, Disney getting involved with some very unpopular political directions, which they seem to have scaled back on now, for now at least.
You have no idea just how important that was. When first going to WDW in the 80's we always marveled as to how efficiently and quickly they moved people in the parks and then along came Fastpass and gummed up the whole system..

My only grievance is the reservation system and Genie+; however none of that stops me from going! I'll be back for my shortest trip ever Memorial Day Weekend.

moral decline :angelic::angelic::angelic:
Ya, 100,000 families through Make-A-Wish - and 2 million in donations on top of the free trips.
-$400,000,000 to non profits around the globe
-Donating 23 million books through the magic of storytelling campaign
-there is more I just can't remember at the moment :)
Rotten I say, rotten.

No corporation is perfect - However being inclusive and standing up against something that is not right, is not common in corporate America.
I will always applaud TWDC for expressing their voice against issues they do not agree with.

That is not part of your constitution, is it not? Freedom of speech?

Back to the question - - - I despise Genie + and the park reservation system.

I didn't vote because I don't think I could pick between park hopping restrictions, Genie+/ILL sales, and thematic decisions (which could mean different things to different people, but for me it's both stripping away theme in some locations while forcing IP into others).

I hate prix fixe and have mentioned before how it's tremendously anti-consumer, but it's not a huge issue for me personally (yet). I wasn't planning on going back to California Grill or Be Our Guest regardless, and none of the other restaurants really interest me. I guess maybe I'd go to Space 220 once if it wasn't prix fixe but that's about it.

Still, if they keep expanding it to more locations, it'll eventually be a major problem.

For me it is definitely the maintenance of show effects of older rides(ToT, JIIwF, etc). Tower's show quality is dwindling each month, with TDO not caring at all or contributing towards some of the issues.

I'm sure we all would like them to just close down things and do a class A repair. Weeellll, we do unless that is going to happen when we are planning to go, then it's maybe they should just grease everything and we can be on it while we are there. Damn., that Disney, can't they get anything right?
