Biggest fear before you leave for Disney.

a death in the family.

I worry about this as well. My grandfather died 2 days before our trip in 2001. Needless to say, our trip was the last thing from my mind when I recieved the call.

I also worry about plane crashes and the weather when I'm down there. I am so afraid of flying, even though I do it probably 5-6 times a year. I feel as though I can't get excited until I exit the plane. I also obsessively check weather.com everyday for about a month to see what the trends in weather have been. It is always wrong, but I still get all freaked out when I see rain in the forecast everyday.

I worry about illness of a family member. Last June on our trip my wife had a pinched nerve in her neck and was some pain, but nothing like the pain of the kidney stone she got the morning we started home. By the way, the ER in Gainsville has some nice people. You become very thankful when you realize that it could have happened on the trip down instead. I do the check list for everything else with a row for packed, then packed in the van. We usually end up taking lots more than we need.

I fear it just won't be there...
I keep having the same dream over and over that we get to the airport, get our car, and while driving there is a big sign that says "Walt Disney World, left"...so we turn around a go home

No, not really.

Well, I think I share some of the obvious fears that many people may have before leaving on a trip (such as a plane crash, hurricanes, etc...). Other than that, the only fear I always have is that I`ll enjoy it so much there that I wont want to come back to the mundane and dull life where I live. :D

I would definitely say weather, forgeting the reservation confirmations, forgetting a particular article of clothing I meant to bring (like extra shorts or shoes). And this time around I have to double check my packing because we won't be home the morning we leave for the airport, we'll be up at an Inn having just gotten married. :D

Hooray for packing stress :brick:

CoP being closed, not for refurbishment, but as a "seasonal" closure:(. I paid the same admission price as those who came during the more popular times.
I wonder how much it costs per day to run, with castmembers and electricity.
Whatever it is, I think the seasonal closure of any Disney attraction is BS.
Bad enough the hours are shorter. By the way, I did let guest services know my thoughts on this before booking my vacation. Gee...do you think I'll take it personally if CoP is closed when I get there?
If it is open (I hope...I hope), I'll take it personally that maybe I made a difference.

Dealing with airport security... I always get hassled... So I always get super nervous before I leave for the airport.

I feel your pain. I've learned to not wear a belt, only have slip on/off shoes and have all electronic items, including cell phone in my carry on, but loosely and easily packed.
They always unpack them and wipe them with some cloth to check for explosive residue. Never fails.
To Heck in a Handbasket, I say!!

My biggest fear/worry is having to cancel my WDW vacation because of the possibility of one of my staff getting sick (there's only 3 of us and extremely difficult for 1 person to do the job). It's happened at least twice.

What I'm most worried about is, and it usually kills me every time in the car ride, that we don't get to do everything that I planned. Sometimes I'll either forget to do it or something like that, and then I'll come home and think to myself "oops...". There are so many things to do and see, and in only ten days. That's very hard to do, and I'm one of those people who feels like they need to get everything done. And there's even more things that I want to do on this trip coming up in 58 days. I'm going to have to start writing down a list pretty soon.

1. Getting sick - That happened to me before. I now carry hand sanitizer with me.
2. Having favorite rides closed.
3. Knowing that it will be another year before I am able to go again!!

BRYANSBABY06290 will tell me how crappy everything has become and open my blinders to the plight at WDW, thereby killing all my hopes and dreams.

Plane crashes are something i never worry about. Why, the first 4 times I ever flew there was a plane crash the day before I flew. Then I flew to Disney 10 days after Sept 11th. So I just figured all was good. If it happens it happens nothing I can do about it. Its more Dangerous driving to work on the Jersey roads then flying anywhere.

I am afraid that when I ride It's a Small World, that I will be kidnapped by
the animatronics and forced to listen to their song forever and ever. (Not
that you can get the song out of your head after going on the ride once.)

I drive on some of the most dangerous roads in NJ every day, and I know what you're saying is true, yet I'm still terrified of flying. Maybe it's because I watch "Lost" way too much.
