Biggest Disney Pet Peeve

...or just not stop at the TTC after a certain time. The people at the contemporary need the stop to transfer to Epcot. No reason for it after 10pm though.

I don't know much about the ferry..but do they run more than one at a time?

Sorry, I did mean to say not stop a the TTC after say 10:00 pm or after the last monorail TO Epcot leaves the TTC. You're right. The resort line needs to stop at the TTC until then.

My pet peeve is similar to a few others. People who just suddenly stop walking with no regard to the people behind them. Our adult son is in a wheelchair and trying to stop on a dime in nearly impossible. I'm not fond of the children that run in front of us trying to get by, but they are children and it is an amusement park.

In case you haven't noticed Disney managers and staff in general will "kowtow" to any guest unless the exhibited behavior is affecting the safety of another guest or case member. They do not want to offend the paying pubic in anyway, so they are actually kowtowing to the almighty dollar.
As a nurse in an ICU, we had an elder, highly respected Chinese lady pass. The family did a beautiful ritual (of which another RN and I took part of) that included "kowtowing" toward the deceased family member. It was beautiful and respectful.
Ever since that time, whenever I see the word used I think of respect, not being obsequious...
Just an interesting aside.
I do agree about poor behavior by guests being rewarded. CMs have to tread very carefully with rude and disrespectful guests. I personally believe it's gotten out of hand, and it makes me angry when they aren't asked to leave or in this case take the baby outside so that others could enjoy their tea.

Thanks for the explanation. I just quoted the poster. It's not a word I would normally use.

I know man. It's a case of my spirit being willing but my flesh being weak. Do you ever try that dizziness medicine and see if that might help? I've thought about it but still been afraid it might not work and then I'd be miserable.

I'll take Dramamine for motion rides because they used to knock me out with nausea. They've gotten A LOT better with both picture quality and synching the motion to where I'd say that if they used to do a number on you to maybe pop some Dramamine and give them another try. I'd say that the quality on the rides is so good, now, that I really don't have to use Dramamine except that sometimes they're not paying attention to the picture quality and if it's out of focus then it starts to do a number on me again.

For roller coasters, the only one that gives me a bit of a dizzy feeling at the end is Batman: The Ride (Six Flags Over Georgia). It's not bad or anything but I couldn't just stay on it and ride over and over again.

There was one time, the last time, I was on the Georgia Cyclone (notoriously rough - excellent ride when it was new, though) and I actually thought, "Crap.. They're going to have to carry me off." I managed to get out but that was the last time for me. Great American Scream Machine had it's "last time" a few years back. Interestingly, it was the last time for my daughter (≈27yo at the time).. Too rough for her, too.

Where do I begin? I'll sum it up to make this a bit shorter.
1) People that walk (or ride their scooter) out of a store/shop without looking to see who or what is coming down the pathway then slam into me then give me a look as if to say "Watch it pal!".
2) People that stop suddenly on a crowded pathway then get all bent when you bump into them.
3) People that stop in a pathway in large groups just to chat that take up 1/2 to 3/4 of the pathway.
4) CM's not taking a firmer stand on people that use flashes and lighted devices on dark rides.
5) People that use flashes and lighted devices on dark rides.
6) People that feel the need to engage me in conversation in an attraction queue. (I am polite but I give hints that I am not interested in conversing.)
7) Line cutters. (Short of taking a child to the bathroom I don't care what your excuse is. Nuff said)
8) Not enough shaded areas and fans to keep guests cool in long outdoor queue areas.
9) Smokers in non-smoking areas such as pathways and attraction queues.
10) Disney charging full price for DHS while all of the construction is happening and only half the park available.
11) EPCOT (Do I really need to go into detail?)
12) Disney's proclivity to use an IP to overlay an attraction instead of giving the IP the attention it deserves in a more fitting park. (I'm looking at you Frozen!)
13) Parents that think they must get their precious little ones onto every attraction and every meet-n-greet in every park before the end of their 7 day trip.
14) Parents that berate and scream at their children when the child is tired.
15) People that throw trash on the ground. (These people could likely hit a trash can with that trash if they just threw it in any direction. Why throw it down?)
16) People that sit in queues ignoring their devil children that have decided climbing on the queues and generally making an a** out of themselves is a good idea.
17) People that still argue with CM's over their expired FP's. (Yes. You are 20 minutes late with your FP time. No. You cannot still use it.)
18) People that still argue with CM's over their early FP's. (Yes. You are 10 minutes early with your FP time. No. You cannot use it right now.)
19) People who have yet to figure out "Mickey to Mickey" on the Magic Band readers in the attraction queues.

And these are just the things I thought of right off the top of my head.

One time I saw a guy getting his friend to try Beverly, and some random person who didn't even know either of them spoiled the surprise by saying "that soda is nasty". What a scumbag...

But in all honesty, people who scream like idiots on the Haunted Mansion and ruin the experience for everyone. I'm not just talking about people who react a bit to something happening, I'm talking about grown people who purposely scream loudly and continuously for a majority of the ride. I've had this happen twice while I was riding with a family member, and it was terrible.

Exactly, I hate to see people rip away that experience. It's an amazing moment for both the person drinking and the person giving the drink to a friend.

Doing this to my wife nearly cost her trust in me forever. LOL To this day she is hesitant to try something new that I give her to eat or drink. :hilarious:

People who don't have their 47,000 diaper bags, handbags, packable lunch totes, shopping bags, etc. open and ready to go for inspection on the bag check line-do you not know what they're doing up ahead? Do you think the security guards just want to see what snacks you have packed or what t-shirts you purchased? Open up ALL of your 47,000 bags and keep the lines moving-it's not a surprise as to what they're doing at the tables.

my pet peeve is the failure to use a phrase that is nearing extinction: "excuse me." if you bump into someone, use it. if you realize that you've stopped short in front of someone, use it. if someone is walking slow and you'd like to get around them, don't follow too close, just say it.

On the flip side, one of my biggest pet peeves (besides all of the other great ones listed) is when I say "excuse me" to someone I accidentally bump into and they just glare at me. I tend to try the "kill them with kindness" approach whenever possible so even if someone runs into me or cuts me off I just sweetly say "oh my goodness, i'm so sorry, excuse me!" in my sweetest southern accent. Even (and especially) when it's the other person's fault, they almost always glare like I just tried to mow THEM down on purpose! Accidents happen, a little kindness goes a long way.

A few have mentioned already, but stopping in the middle of the walk way. I'll take it a bit further though and say that a family walking 6 wide is also very frustrating; not only are they walking slow, but you're stuck behind them.

Next in line would be stopping in the middle of the exit from an attraction. There's nothing like almost running into someone just standing there waiting for the rest of their party.
