Biggest & Best forums?

Kind of an odd question, but I thought I would put it out there as a newbie to see what kind of responses I would get...

(hopefully putting this in the right spot.. seems logical to me!)

So I guess in two points:

There are SO many sites out there dedicated to planning/tips/budget/etc.

I am really struggling to find the biggest & best for an all-inclusive, all-in-one spot. That's one.

More specifically, forum communities! So far, from what I've seen, wdwmagic and disboards seem to be the mother of communities... is that the case? Are these two the big mac-daddies? Any other mainstream big ones out there I might be overlooking? Forums seem to really have a lot of useful info. That's two.

I have been on the boards for just a couple of months, and I have just picked up info from here and there...gold nuggets out there all the time..just dig! But, go straight to the source and ask ANY Kingdom Konsult..they will really help! And there are so many others out there also..just keep reading..it is alot of fun!

QUALITY - that's what you should be looking for - QUALITY - not QUANTITY.

Just because a board is big doesn't make it the best. I find some of the extremely large boards have a lot of issues, unnecessary rules, uneven moderation, etc.

wdwmagic is one of the best, if not the best, IMHO - and it is a QUALITY site.

WDWMagic is good for the whole package, IMHO. Good news here, good discussion, good planning tips, good social life, even. I have a lot of IRL friends on here.


I also have to recommend LaughingPlace, only for the very civil and thoughtful, but intense discussion they have there. Much like here, but slower.

However, WDWMagic is my online home. Steve has made a nice place for us.

I am a member of many different forums including the other "big" one you mentioned, and wdwmagic is by far my favorite. I rarely even visit the others anymore. I find that not only can I find out anything I need/want to know on this forum, it is also more user friendly and has fewer technical problems, etc. than others. Sometimes a forum being too big or having too many posts and topics can actually be a negative thing...alot of threads get missed and overlooked. Like a previous poster said, quality is much more important than quantity.

I have visited other fan sites and an a member to only 1 other and I have to say wdwmagic is by far the best out there. Yes, sometimes we argue and the discussions may get a little heated (o.k some are downright nasty) but, to me it's home! Everytime I read the posts and share my opinion I feel like I am talking to friends that understand and share a mutual love for Disney.
