I would hope they switch to Vekomas quiet lift system (what Expedition Everest uses). That seems like a no brainer upgrade.

The attraction's loose backstory is supposedly supernatural, so this works. A welcome change (assuming it's done well)

It supposed to be that you are not welcome there and a thundering effect results in the new lighting effect/result of the effect

careful what you wish for. They can stick a dragon or two on this and you're looking at the e-ticket attraction to villians land... beyond big thunder really just meant beyond where the queue starts.

Really, this makes sense storywise that we see a change in the Mountain's nature at the start of the ride to highlight the supernatural elements and that it is a haunted mine train, not just a standard runaway mine train.

Makes me wonder if we’ll be getting something different than the dynamite finale at Disneyland. Something that ties more into this more supernatural first lift hill. Because it’s a lot of secrecy for something that’s already existed for years at two other parks.

I would love for them to restore/improve the falling rocks effect in the final lift hill. Perhaps even a combination of this and the DL projection effects.
