I wonder if there are any good spots from the queue that look into the area - and if there are, will they put up walls to block the view
They'll block them to the extent that is reasonable, but they don't generally care if you can get a look from somewhere higher. They didn't obscure PeopleMover views of TRON's construction, for instance. The top of Splash will probably be the easiest place to get shots for the foreseeable future, Bioreconstruct notwithstanding of course.

Honestly, I'm not certain about the reopening timeframe, but I hope that's part of what's announced.

Wednesday possibly? Is this the news that’s pushing the ADRs for B&B to 7?

Would be curious for sure if they decided to do such an announcement on a "random" day anytime in the next month as opposed to saving it for Destination D23. Such a move would be (yet another) signal that Disney is trying to move away from the expectation that Destination D23 is an event for breaking new attraction announcements. Though to be fair, it really was only the most recent DD23 that set such a bar.
