Ah so the only reason people were excited about this is not happening, love that.
Maybe it took them a week to realize the old description of the finale was released instead of the updated (scope-reduced) version. This description has only existed for a week. I doubt the scope of the work changed in that time.
I’m pretty happy about the brand new track so that it can run well for another 40 years. It’s one of WDI’s crowning achievements and I don’t want much change. No Jessie’s Desert Adventure with Woody & Friends. Although it does sound really compelling to search a mine high and low for the special ingredients to Jessie‘s barbecue sauce.Ah so the only reason people were excited about this is not happening, love that.
Completely Agree. For me, this attraction has aged as well as any. I’d be happy with no other changesI’m pretty happy about the brand new track so that it can run well for another 40 years. You misspelled “I demand an elaborate backstory requiring a coffee table book purchase to understand it all”.I’m pretty happy about the brand new track so that it can run well for another 40 years. OR... How were Disneyland's BTM changes originally described in the promotional materials? Perhaps they just copied/pasted and forgot to amend...
They should bring back the collapsing scene in the final lift hill. It was very anti-climactic without it.It’s one of WDI’s crowning achievements and I don’t want much change.
Agreed. Fixing that effect (well, upgrading it to 2025 standards) would make me happy. They should bring back the collapsing scene in the final lift hill. It was very anti-climactic without it.
This effect was never mentioned so anyone assuming it was had nothing to go byAh so the only reason people were excited about this is not happening, love that.
Except... that thing over in AnaheimThis effect was never mentioned so anyone assuming it was had nothing to go by
That was added when? A decade ago? Why would that be a guarantee here?Except... that thing over in Anaheim
But yeah, let's stay super literal...
Who said anything about guarantees? That was added when? A decade ago? Why would that be a guarantee here?
I'll take that bet. The "budget cut crowd" is the same people that thought that Beak and Barrel was too cartonnish.
Just sounds like a premature description of something they want to reveal later.
Interesting.Guys, the "exploding dynamite" line has always been in the website copy, even before the refurbishment. It never referenced the finale, new or otherwise. I assume it was meant to refer to the dynamite explosions they added during the queue updates. If it was a premature description, they added it years in advance.
I don't know one way or another if we're getting an updated finale, but you guys are putting way too much stock into this.
Interesting.
But if it was "always" there and they now suddenly removed it, that seems to indicate something, no?
Thanks, this is what I heard after my post as well.Guys, the "exploding dynamite" line has always been in the website copy, even before the refurbishment. In fairness they can promise or guarantee all they want. They are not bound to that legally so they can and will continue to do whatever they want to do. Good bad or indifferentI’m fairly certain that nothing was guaranteed as part of this refurb, aside from the new track. Was there something posted that said EXACTLY what the ride was getting in terms of refurbishments?
The funny part to me is that the one thing that they are showing wasn’t on anyone’s bingo card. So we are actually getting a plussed section of the ride no one was talking about and it still seems to be getting a bunch of negative responses - although it doesn’t shock me where the negativity is coming from.
I hope that what they do for this refurb is different from what the other parks have. There seems to be a thread of originality coming out of WDI as opposed to Chapek’s “design or once, build it twice” mentality. I prefer this approach. Keep this version of BTMRR as unique as possible from the other iterations. I like what I have been setting up to this point.
That would imply WDW isn't getting the dynamite ending.I'm guessing they saw all the misinformed speculation it caused and removed it.
