MK Big Thunder Mountain to receive full retrack

That’s not true. 18 - 24 months is typical for design, manufacturing and installation of a new roller coaster.

This not being new means there’s a whole selective demolition process.

Less than that would mean that stars align: small ride that is bought as it is and the manufacturer has the production slot available. The roller coaster that I selected for my client opened 11 months after it was selected and the contract signed with the manufacturer.

18-24 months is average, but many roller coaster suppliers have longer lead times right now.

Sorry guys, first time insider, is this the part where I say “100% accuracy rate I’m always right” with a flurry of emojis?
In virtually every case, reputable and longstanding insiders come into this with a sense of humility. Some are too humble to even refer to themselves as 'insiders', even the most notorious on this site.

I'm not disputing the fact it needs maintenance just the time frame comparison

not sure if a perfect comparison but when they redid the track for the Hulk at Universal about a decade ago it closed in Sept of 2015 and reopening in August of 2016 - so almost a year and that is way less themed/not in a mountain ... plus if they are doing any prep work for Cars or Villains that could happen now

So I don't think like 12-15 months is outlandish for a complete retrack and update to this type of attraction and the fact they are already removing stuff seems to indicate they aren't slow walking the work
