Big Thunder Mountain - HELP!

So my boyfriend is in love with all the old attraction posters and wants to collect them for his home. I want to surprise him for Christmas with one of the posters and wanted one of his favorite rides. Surprise, surprise, they don't make one for Thunder Mountain or Space Mountain anymore. Does ANYONE know where to get these?

I have called every Disney store imaginable. They have many print-on-demand posters - nearly all except the big ones, like Thunder, Space, ToT, Soarin', etc. They have Jungle Cruise, Small World, Grand Prix, Tea party, etc...but those aren't any of his favorites. He has Splash Mtn, Haunted Mansion and Pirates.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I did a Google search and this site sells them, but it's the Disneyland version of the poster, and it looks like he just buys them from the print-on-demand at Disneyland and resells them. He also doesn't guarantee Christmas delivery.

Which Disney Stores did you call? Just local ones? Or ones in WDW?

Here's two places to try:

WDW Mail Order: 407-363-6200. They *should* be able to sell you anything that can be purchased in any Disney owned store on WDW property. I'd presume this includes print-on-demand posters.

If Mail Order can't help with print-on-demand, try calling the WDW Main Switchboard (407-824-2222) and ask to be connected to the Art of Disney store in Downtown Disney.

They used to have Big Thunder posters on ebay...although my latest search found nothing. Space Mountain posters are much harder to find.

As a former BTM CM I am ALWAYS searching for the WDW one. I have been told by Art of Disney it officially has never been released for WDW, but as a poster above noted, there is a DLR one.

This is not true because I purchased one several years ago from the Art of Disney, in the black tube, that includes the WDW designation on the print. You may want to call the Art of Disney store in Downtown Disney and see if you can obtain this print on the on-demand system.

After examining the DLR and WDW versions of the poster through pictures I have, the only significant difference appears to be the park name on the bottom.

I would just call Cali and go with the DL version, which appears to be available. After several comprehensive searches, I can't seem to find the WDW verion currently available anywhere.

You could even frame it so the Disneyland isn't visible on the bottom. But I think it is still a wonderfully detailed poster that is worth owning.

Thank you all for your suggestions! I worked with The Art of Disney Gallery for quite a while on the phone - they're great and very helpful, but do not make the poster of Thunder Mountain at all anymore. I found the Disneyland one, and while I COULD get it, I was hoping for the WDW one...I know it's , but oh well. In the end, you can't get everything you want, so I ordered him the Main Street Railroad. It's pretty cool and hopefully he'll like it. Thanks to all!:xmas:
