The menu is rather limited but the food has been nice on the 5 times I've eaten there, and the beer is great. Service often leaves a lot to be desired though.

I'm with Steve on this one, I gave it 3 tries, the last time on a suggestion that I have to try the Kobe Burger, I thought it was crap, I asked for rare and was told Med only, I found that odd as I eat Kobe beef Raw whenever I have the chance. As usuasl, differrent strokes for us all, the Brews were excellent I thought.

if you like microbrew beers its fine. typical bar-type menu. dont remember it being a bad experience, but also dont remember saying we had to go back. one thing i do recall was it wasnt busy when we were there and the air conditioning was down. they had fans throughout the building (which is small). wasnt helping at all!!! i guess i would go again.

I had a similar experience here, I asked for a burger medium-rare (not the Kobe) and they said only medium allowed. Crap!! Any place that can't cook a burger to your liking worries me from a beef quality standpoint. Might as well call them hockey pucks.

We have eaten there 2 over the past 2 years. It was Ok both times. Would go again. They do take the dining plan but DO NOT take ADR's. Service was not the best but have had worse. Like one poster said...locotion cant be beat when staying at the Boardwalk...was ideal for us on arrival day since they dont take ADR's Check in and walk down and had a good lunch!! if your into micro beers than it a really good find!! Something else to think about in that same area would be Capitans Grill at the Yatchs Club or Beached and Cream at the Beach Club.

We have 2 Big River Grilles in Chattanooga and I love the place. The beer is awesome and would be the main reason to go. The only thing I eat there though is the Grilled Chicken Nachos. It is considered an appetizer but a half order of the stuff is more than enough for even a big guy like me. Very good it also helps I'm a passport member of their restaurant and I get priority seating.

One of the worst dining experiences I have had at WDW.

Check out some reviews at http://www.wdwmagic.com/Dining/Big-River-Grille-and-Brewing-Works.htm

Ate there three times. First I had ribs, they were dry, flavorless, and not meaty. Nothing at all like Trail's End. Second I had the Alfredo, who can mess that up. It was worse than a jar of Ragu special. Third I had a burger. It came out first like a briquette of Kingsford charcoal, next it came out just browned on the outside. I am not one to send food back but this is a place I will NEVER eat again unless it undergoes massive changes.

We make it a habit to go to BRG on the first evening we arrive at WDW. Have never had a bad meal there and the beer is good. I usually have a cheeseburger and the wife has a mahi mahi sandwich (I think).

Eaten there a couple times, and while it's not the best food in the area, it's certainly passable. The beer is pretty good, and it's worth stopping in for a bowl of soup and a beer flight.

I think a better option for food in the Epcot resort area, with a similar pub feel, would be the Cabana Bar and Beach Club at the Dolphin Resort. It's by the pool, on the far side of the building from the lagoon (just down the hill from the bus stop). Everything on their menu is delicious and their bartenders are very friendly. It's also rarely busy, which is a huge plus when you're looking for a relaxing time out.

I love BRG's burgers and beer (especially the Rocket Red).
I wouldn't sit inside though, it's kind of a cramped and sterile atmosphere.
Outside however, on a nice evening, right on the Boardwalk, is one of the best atmospheres anywhere in WDW.:king:

a kobe beef burger for 13.99? something seems fishy...up here in nyc the cheaper ones run like $21-$24. its probably extremely low grade kobe which could explain why you couldn't have it rare although i am in no way a burger meat expert.

And a courtesy cup of water at a NY/NJ McDonalds is smaller than most of my shot glasses. Not sure comparing food prices in NY on an item not served quite "anywhere" is a good way to go. :animwink:
