Great job!
I think, they think they're appealing to a younger demographic. But really just no with that attempt. That's the thing — the new logo is void of any creativity whatsoever. If you put in those small but meaningful touches, like the H and the W, you get the feeling of old Hollywood while still keeping the relatively simple design. And then if Disney wanted to add the characters to the O's, they could go right ahead. It really isn't rocket science.
Thought I'd give it a shot.

That theme park up the street doesn't have a galaxy far far away coming. or do we now don't want that because it's in the new logo??????It really is a brilliant idea. No other theme park up the street has ever had the idea to let people ride the movies or try to tie everything into a studios branding.
Star Wars requires the park to get a [lousy] new logo? That theme park up the street doesn't have a galaxy far far away coming. or do we now don't want that because it's in the new logo??????
Of course not, but should Disney even bother to open SWGE??? No one will like it anyway!Star Wars requires the park to get a [lousy] new logo?
How is the opening of Galaxy’s Edge relevant to anything in this thread?Of course not, but should Disney even bother to open SWGE??? No one will like it anyway!

"it depends on what the meaning of ‘is’ is"They're switching from one meaning of 'studio' (a physical building) to another meaning (a production company).
They dropped the attempt to make it about making movies (and TV) a long time ago. This is just signage catching up to reality.
Am I the only one who kind of wishes they would just get rid of that arch altogether? I get that it meant something when the tour started back there but now it kind of just leads to nothing.
