BIG PhotoPass Problem

I'm so bummed right now. We really invested time and money into utilizing our PhotoPass. We had the plan of using it & stopped at every photographer. Asked for every magic shot. etc. Many times we did not take photos with our cameras because with figured that Disney with their higher quality cameras would take care of it. so we got the CD, and when I opened it I realized that tons of stuff is missing. At least 8 Magic Shots and 2 full meet and greets. Plus many distinct pictures that I remember taking are missing. I'm broken-hearted that we don't have these pictures now. I don't have any pictures of my DD meeting tinkerbell and making silly faces with her. or hugging cinderella. or merieda. or my DD holding simba.

Where should I go from here? I guess I should complain but PP toll number had me on hold for 30 mins and I finally had to give up as I was at work. I paid a lot of money & it was our one souvenir. Has this happened to anyone else?

really really freaking out! :cry::(:arghh:

I don't know much about PP, but are there different "levels" you can buy? Like, did you purchase the "level" that only included x-amount of photos? So now you would have to upgrade to the next level to get all your photos? Again I don't know much about PP so I'm not sure how it all works.

Another thing, I have heard (multiple times actually) of Disney losing photos. From what I've heard, if this does happen, and you have a general idea of when the photos were taken, they can usually find them.

The castmember told me absolutely nothing about level. It was my understanding that every picture they snapped I was able to get.

You should be able to call and let them know you have a lot of photos missing. They should e able to find your missin photos and send you a new disk...

No, there aren't levels. There is Photopass, Photopass+, & you can buy a package of just ride photos.

I'm sure they'll fix it for you, either a refund or some recovery. But lesson learned, PP is a waste of money and this is coming from someone who uses it. The best thing they ever did was the PP Attractions because at 19 bucks a ride it sure as hell is a good deal and you know exactly what you're going to get when it comes to those photos.

I'm sure I give PP a hard time due to some personal standards but in general the images are just bleh.

Thats a whoooooole other issue. I too use PP even tho I lug around my own camera, mostly because I don't like wasting space on my SD cards with general stuff. I have lost count over how many times the PP photographer didn't even take a picture during meet and greets (they took my Photopass...then just stood there...then I was done)

Tried calling two more times... first time I was on hold for 45 minutes until I finally gave up . second time I was on for 15 before i was disconnected :mad: P.S. the on-hold music track is PAINFUL. Its standard Disney music, but a poor quality track that keeps cutting out and skipping.

very very very frustrating!!!:arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh:

Wasn't there an issue during early September? Disney have changed the website, pictures before the change are on the old website. Those taken after are on the new one.
I was only vaguely listening when I was told that, so I apologise if I have built up your hopes with duff information.

:arghh:2-4 days my butt!! never heard anything from them... now I'm angry

Yeah sadly that happens. Usually that means they can't find them. Sad as it is to say, the photopass photographers aren't all great. Sometimes they mess up and thing just don't get where they need to be :(

There is a link on the photo pass website for you to fill out if photos are missing. Give them as much info as you can an they should be able to retrieve your pictures. It sometimes takes some time because is a manual process to look for them but from what I've heard their recovery record is pretty good.

here's the email I finally got back...

Thank you for contacting us regarding DisneyPhotoPass.com.

In order to begin our search, we will need some additional information.

Please reply to this message and include any additional Disney's PhotoPass ID numbers you may have.

For each missing photo, please provide the following information. Without this information, we will not be able to search successfully:

- Date each missing photo was taken

- Approximate time of day each photo was taken

- Specific location within the Park for each photo taken

- Character(s) appearing in the photos, if any

Please reply to this message and attach a .jpg photo no larger than 500 KB. Without one, we may not be able to search for your photos. A photo taken in the park on the same day is extremely helpful, but if one isn't available, any recent photo of the subjects will help.

Also, please provide detailed descriptions of the people in the photos, and any other information to aid us in our search. Things like color of clothing, hair color/length, descriptions of hats, etc. are all very helpful.

Please be sure to include this email in your reply. We'll be happy to resume our search once we hear back from you.
