Big News For Space Mountain/rocket Mountain!!!!

Rocket Mountain is the reported name of a nighttime version of Space Mountain. One rumor is that the ride will feature a day version and a night version, with the day version more themed toward space and the night version featuring rock 'n' roll music and feeling kinda like a rock concert. As for the new track, there are three lift hills (they are complete) and unlike WDW's large mountain, Disneyland's Magic Kingdom's mountain is smaller, with the top of the track being near the top of the mountain.

When? Spring of 2003.
Why? Had to. Track was falling apart.

I've read that the track is just going to have the exact same layout as before. But there supposedly is going to be a new soundtrack you'll hear when riding.

Miceage reports that it will not open until November 2005, for whatever Al Lutz is worth. Al also admitted what I said about Buzz Lightyear AstroBlasters, though--that Matt Ouimet has successfully gotten its opening day pushed up to May 5, 2005, so we'll see what happens with Space Mountain.
