Hello!

Over the past year, i have posted a few times about the Disney quality going down.

I just got back from the World, and must say, hooray for Disney.:sohappy:

I had not one complain.

Let me tell you a few things that made my stay more enjoyable.

1.) I always stay at the Contemporary, but I tagged a long with some friends this time, and stayed in their room (BEST WESTERN LAKE BUENA VISTA     ) YUCK!

Anyway,
I HAD to take my trip to the Contemporary, so I went on SATURDAY NIGHT and parked valet. ( It was raining) I was there for like 2 hours. Went to some stores, played some video games. You know, the usual. And then, I went to give the VALET my ticket. He told me okay, $6.00, and then said actually, its on us tonight. SOMETHING SO SMALL, YET MADE ME SO HAPPY :)

:D

2.) I went to Downtown Disney, and I was looking at some posters to buy (the replicas of the ones that are at the enterance of the magic kingdom) to add to my collection. Well, I told the person at the register which one I wanted, and they didnt have one of them. I said, "okay, thank you". I walked away. Well 10 minutes later the cast member, went to go find me, and told me that she had located a few somewhere (who knowes where), and that it would be delivered to my hotel for me!

You know, nothing to big, but it made me feel good that someone put effort into making a customer happy. I did not show any frustration when she told me that they were out, so out of her own will she located one for me, and had it taken to my hotel. That was really nice.

3.) I rented a boat at Downtown Disney. ( a tradition on our last day). So I went out for an hour, and when i came back, the cast member said "so how was it?" I said GREAT, except it was so hot, and my boat for some reason was really slow compared to the other ones. He told me "NO PROBLEM, do you want a refund or another boat ride"
Now THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Disney if you are reading this (they probably are) KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

That's awesome! Those small things are the things I love hearing about, and the things that set Disney so far apart from the others.

Thanks for reporting such good news!:)

i had an expirence with good customer serivce like yours at the magic kingdom one day. I was working on the 100 years of magic quiz and had asked a male cast member for help, well at first he couldnt find anything so he starts walking up to random cast members and asking them the questions, he ended up walking around teh entire frontierland with me trying to find the answers, he said it was his personal mission now to find teh answers with me, it was great.

I've got a story from last year. My son's camera takes 9 volt batteries, but we couldn't find one anywhere. After asking a few times, someone suggested I try the large store near the Pizzafari (sorry, I can't remember the store).

The woman there (older, probably in her 60's) looked in the back room, but couldn't find anything. She asked a couple other people with no luck, then said "wait here". She took off and came back about 5 minutes later with a battery. I asked her "how much?" and she said "We don't sell them, I just happened to find this one, so there's no charge. If you want to contribute a dollar to the animal fund, you can do that."

So I stuck a $20 in the jar after which she started counting out 20 buttons, but I told her 1 would be fine:lol:

ON the subject of battery hunts...

We were at Mouse Gear at Epcot buying a Mickey clock, and it took an obscure battery size that Disney did not sell. We were concerned because I didnt think we could get that battery in the UK. The CM said that if we came back in 2 days time, she would have the battery for us. After the 2 days we went back, and she told us that on her day off, she went to Walmart to get a pack for us!! We were totally blown away by that level of service!! What a great CM :D That is the Disney magic right there!

This is by far the most uplifting thread I have seen in a long time!!! Let's hear everyone's happy stories about the great CMs!! My personal favorite is the time I lost my parents in It's Tough to be a Bug in AK. I sent them in without me as I despise bugs, animated or otherwise. After about 1/2 hour I started to get a bit worried as my parents hadnt come out of the exit. I walked down to the Tree and they were into the third show since my parents left me. Well I told the CM at the entrance about my problem and she promised she would keep an eye out for my parents. When I returned a short while later, there was a gentleman, but he had all the details about my parents to find them for me!! I left again and came back to find a very attractive CM who had gotten the story also!! I hung around with him for a bit and soon we were joined by a bunch of CMs. Shortly thereafter my Mom could be heard calling for me. The CMs all walked me over to my Mom , who really wondered why she bothered to look for me as I was having a better time without her and my Dad!! To the really cute CM who delivered me to my Mom, thanks for helping out the big kid!! ( I was 33 at the time!) Belle

Here's mine

Okay, here's one for you. After eating at Cinderella's Royal Table for dinner, I had inadvertently left my bag of souvenirs at the table. Our server (I can't remember the name now but I marched straight to City Hall to let them know of his deed at the time) found the bag, and had heard us talking about going to see SpectroMagic right after the meal. Now this was at least 15 minutes after the meal had ended, and I was clueless that I had even left it. We had walked all the way to where the hub meets Main Street for a spot...About 1/3 of the way through the parade, I feel a tap on my shoulder and lo and behold there was our waiter, who had come downstairs from the restaurant and literally searched the crowds for us to give it back. He could have just given it to lost and found, but he said he was worried that it wouldn't get there before park closing and that we weren't coming back to WDW any more days after, so he wanted to find us personally. Amazing. I wish I could have upped his tip! I hope he got great recognition for that from management.

Which, by the way, whenever you experience those bits of magic, be sure to write WDW and let them know. Get the first name of the CM and write the experience to
wdw.guest.communications@disney.com
and they will almost always call you personally to thank you and let you know that the CM and his managers will be notified of the act. It's our way of keeping that kind of magic going, too...

This is great stuff.
There have been so many depressing threads slamming Disney for all kinds of things. I've made it a personal mission to avoid all that stuff.

This is what Disney is all about.
Keep the happy stories coming!!!

This is whati consider my mission whenever i go to the parks as a vistor, everytime i try to make someones visit memorable. for instance i will go to the guy and ask for the front car of the monorail, most of teh time i am alone, and i ask for all four seats, then i go find a family inline and give them the front car, because most people do not know about the front it makes them feel special and makes me feel great.

these are some great stories, it's little things that can make such a big difference. even something as little as the CM who approached me as I was reading a map and asked if I needed some help. when someone comes up to you offering help instead of you trying to find someone to help, that gives you a special feeling too.

Disney magic rocks!

well thank you, i just know that in the past other people have made special things happen for me at the parks and i feel it nesacary to do these things, som eof these people traveled across the globe to get to the parks and may not come back for a long while, so make it special for em

I forgot to mention that although this has no change on the deed, i do all this while on crutches or in a wheelchair because of my broken leg, some guests are amazed because of this, lol
