Bioreconstruct shows us that not everyone is incompetent with imbedded color-changing lights:

The same team in charge of fixing the bug with the Rise cannons will be working on this as soon as they are done with that. So, by my calculations, the in-ground LED lights in the central spine should be fixed around... 2034.

Yeah... I don't really like these. Unless they're connected to something beyond what's in these photos, they kind of look like something you'd see at a mall in the 80s or 90s. Just random neon lights.

They actually remind me of the Electric Umbrella.

Is that such a bad thing though? It worked for EPCOT for so long, lights in the ground are cool. These follow the design in the pavement just like the current EPCOT ground lights do, just not a complete outline

These do look very random like glow sticks I believe someone said now the original Epcot lights those were cool 😎

Eh. I feel like the fiber optic ones at EPCOT were both more subdued (i.e. not as bright) and made interesting patterns (although I never thought they were especially important to EPCOT; it was by far my favorite park as a kid and yet I had no memory whatsoever of the fiber optic lights).

These seem like they're much brighter and also just scattered randomly (I know they actually aren't, but that's really what it looks like). I also think the random colors makes it worse; they'd look nicer if they were either all one color or had some other discernable pattern to them.

But maybe the random colors are just part of testing and they won't look like that when the park is open.

So have we lost all hope with the ground lights? Was the big fix back in December a complete swing and a miss?
I would call their attempt a foul ball.

I for one have lost hope. The planter with the broken ground lighting is the worst thing about EPCOT’s “successful” renovation of the former Future World.

I dislike this even more than the rust (finish?) that is all over Celebration Gardens.

Celebration Gardens. What are we celebrating? Poor design and poor execution?
