News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Yea, TRON and MMRR are just two, and you are right I am not a wall covering expert.

You're right, everything Disney does is mostly perfect (especially in WDW) and we must blame problems on the guests.

It’s probably those filthily APers that are purposely damaging the in ground lighting in the highly successful World celebration area in EPCOT.
I’m not saying they are perfect (far from it) or blaming guests.

Just don’t be misleading. Disney wasn’t using stickers on the walls. Obviously they should have used something more durable but that doesn’t mean what they used wasn’t real finishes. Designers in the 1970’s built the Haunted Mansion with walls covered in wallpaper too. It also gets peeled off constantly by guests these days.

Not meaning to mislead.

Apparently, whatever they are using (lets call it a finish) seems to be very easy to peel off while waiting in the queue.

Maybe I was misled when I saw articles and pictures of this happening in the queues.

No, I never peeled anything while in any queue.

Just own it. You’ve been called out enough times to know exactly what you’re doing. You spam threads with nonsense and then do the sarcastic replies and apologies.
Happy to own my posts. I will apologize when I trigger folks. Thanks for reading 👍

As always, everyone is free to block me. I have never blocked anyone as I find everyone's posts interesting whether I agree or not.

I never get triggered my anything said because it is all nonsense but its fun to read.

We all must remember, no matter what we post on these boards Disney will do what Disney will do.

As for the wall coverings, allegedly guests were peeling them while waiting in the queues, this was happening allegedly at least in TRON and MMRR, and yes, I will concede the blame goes to the guests in this case. It is up to Disney if they want to use more durable wall coverings, or not, and just keep replacing them as needed.

As for the ground lighting in World celebration, in my opinion, the guests are not prying up the lighting and/or damaging the ground lighting to get views or clicks on social media.

Maybe you could instead acknowledge when you're objectively wrong rather than pushing the blame onto others for being triggered? Does that perhaps sound like a more mature response? Just my opinion (bolded for emphasis, as is your wont); feel free to block me rather than engage in a modicum of self-reflection.

Thank you counselor for always pointing out when I am objectively wrong in my opinions.

I am acknowledging that my opinions are mostly, objectively wrong.

I also apologize for triggering you 😉

I would never block you. I find your posts to be both informative and entertaining.

They used real finishes that nonetheless were a poor choice in an area guests can touch. At least they fixed MMRR pretty quickly. These lights in Epcot are entirely unacceptable, regardless of who is at fault.
But they’ve used Wallpaper in areas guest could touch all over the place for decades. It needs frequent attention and that frequency is increasing.

The walls in the MMRR have actually been redone many times now.

Hear me out: Disposable roll of wallpaper. Like tearing off a sheet of a paper towel from a roll.

Or... electrified wall.

That they didn’t use real finishes and used stickers.
Yes true I do not a reliable source to back up that what was on the wall were stickers. Like the mainstream media, I should not state things I do not have proper sources for.

I think its a fact that whatever was applied to the walls were indeed peeled off the walls by folks waiting the queue.

Now that I think about it (now this is purely speculation on my part) the decorations on the wall could have been painted with a stencil using latex paint which could peel off if the surface was not properly prepared.

That they used stickers on the wall, which is what everyone said was wrong. Not your opinion, dude. Just an untruth.

Is everything with an adhesive backing a sticker? Does the fact that some ill-informed third party on the internet called it a sticker make it so? Is there maybe an important distinction between a sticker, packing tape, duct tape, electrical tape, craft tape, wallpaper, cabinet liner, a Command strip, or a vinyl wrap? Can I just use those interchangeably and excuse it as my "opinion"? The point is language matters even though it feels like you're trying to sweep it under the rug with continuing speculation about something that has already been explained and named.

Good point counselor. Whatever the decoration was and or how it was adhered to the surface, is what it is, and I should not have been simply called it a sticker. Especially in the law, language matters, like "may" and "shall".

Whatever it was, it was peeled off by the guests waiting in the queue. I totally understand its boring waiting in queues but the guests should not peeling whatever is off the wall.

Purely speculation on my part; I imagine some nameless innocent guest is waiting in the boring queue and sees a very tiny little edge of something starting to come up; at that moment the choice to push it back down or start to peel it. The rest is history...

I swear it's like being in one of those work meetings where someone is just dead-set on existing on a completely different wavelength from everyone else in the room. Why I bother is as much a mystery to me as anyone. 🫥
Because its fun and this is NOT the workplace. Not even for the mods as they are volunteers.

I think I used the word fun correctly. Words matter ya know ;) Thank you for the fun. 👍
