The one for the "EPCOT Experience" makes sense because that was always for the Odyssey as a whole, regardless of what's in it. As does the Festival Center, because that has been retconned to represent all of World Celebration. Play's a real head scratcher though, odd that they continue to use that icon when the actual project is very much not moving forward.

Exactly. Zach Ridley talked about the Festival Center logo in passing in a post about the Entrance flags and he referred to it as the World Celebration logo.

They could just reuse the logo for whatever they eventually put into the pavilion -- it's not like the logo itself only works for something named Play (they also aren't really using the logos much in general).

I'm sure that's not the reason they left it, and who knows how long it will be before they actually put something into that pavilion, though.

Now if only they’d fix the missing (for years) parts of the Odyssey pavilion logo sign on the west-facing side of the building lol

It’s cute for a meet and greet area, but I wish Disney would stop trolling us with the dreamfinder references and actually do something about the state of the attraction.

To me, this area feels like it just as easily could have been retrofitted into the old Innoventions building(s) as it’s basically just a big blank room, so not sure it was worth or needed 5 years of construction. Again like most projects of late, just kind of leaves you underwhelmed.

I don't understand the choice to frame out the screen that way and the banners look really out of place. The look doesn't go with the architecture.

It’s cute for a meet and greet area, but I wish Disney would stop trolling us with the dreamfinder references and actually do something about the state of the attraction.

To me, this area feels like it just as easily could have been retrofitted into the old Innoventions building(s) as it’s basically just a big blank room, so not sure it was worth or needed 5 years of construction. Again like most projects of late, just kind of leaves you underwhelmed.

Because people complained it smelled like a sewer there..Not sure if it improved much tho..

They almost certainly would not have demolished the old Innoventions building if they weren't already in the middle of doing so when the pandemic hit and their plans changed. They tore it down to build the Festival Center that was cancelled; they weren't planning on rebuilding something similar.

I can agree with the criticism of this.

While I overall actually like World Celebration, I'm disappointed see all these issues so early on.

As to the blank wall of Communicore Hall, one would think that since it's already in cast previews, they're pretty much done, but adding some trees wouldn't be a tall order. It's even worse looking in person.
