Yes, my intended meaning was existing tv and movie cartoon characters that don't really fit and are shoehorned in for asinine purposes of marketing and laziness. Figured mentioning Frozen and Donald Duck was enough specification. Those you posted were all custom created FOR an attraction with educational purposes.

I did not put any serious thought into those lyrics, it was just a hastily cobbled together joke.

Not recently. The only thing I can think of is Time Racers would have forced all foot traffic entering and leaving the park - as well as entering the ride - to use the west pathway only. Perhaps there's some confusion with this cancelled plan?

Like others I can't see how current load could be approached from anywhere apart from the north. Nor how loading and unloading in current unload could work.

Unless the discussion is about relocating the queue entrance to the west. Which would be a thematic and artistic mess.

Since you posted this, I figure I'll post my parody that I wrote when I first learned of the Maelstrom redo. I had ideas for a corresponding short cartoon, but like everything else, life got busy and it was shelved. But here are the lyrics (to the tune of Do You Want to Build a Snowman?):

Unfortunately this isn't related to Time Racers :/ I was told that this plan is part of a current project to overhaul Future World. I also don't fully see how it could be re-worked, but I suppose if the plan goes through, we shall all find out.

First, this thread is not a fan boy fantasy. Epcot will eventually get some changes, we don't know what, or when but it will eventually happen. Second, even if it is "fan boy fantasy", you are on a message board for people who are fans of Disney theme parks, these sorts of discussion should come as no surprise to you. If you aren't interested in participating, then don't. There is no reason to put down other people who do want to have the discussion.

If I was timing Epcot projects I'd do Energy first based on the assumption that it draws less than Imagination. Also, if Energy gets an overhaul that makes Mission: SPACE the oldest pavilion without a change in World Showcase.

It'll be able to prop it for a few years, probably until TSL opens but then disney needs to get the ball rolling (no not the epcot ball) on this redevelopment

Not Blue Sky, planned completion is in 2020, so I would guess that construction would start in late 2017 or early 2018. I would expect the 2017 D23 Expo to probably be when Disney announces it's plans for the future of Epcot.

Should we expect any Future World Central beautification work in the meanwhile? Removal/replacement of the poles/tarps, pin station, old Mouse Gear / Electric Umbrella signage, and/or other things like that? I think changes like that could go a long way toward improving the "feel" of Future World, so I hope some of that might start to happen sooner than the long-term overhaul...
