I think this may actually be the “beer garden”, even though it really gives off Wonderland vibes. If you watch the full video, it zooms out and you see SE in the background of this shot, but pretty close, so this must be in the hub somewhere.

If I am correct, it appears to be near the most likely spot for Moana. In other words, perhaps its a mix of both now that we know they are not afraid of implementing IPs into the hub?

Besides the Celebration of Disney music, did anyone else notice the lack of IPs? Yes, the water trail is inspired by Moana, but it’s not in you’re face like I thought it would be.
I’m almost afraid to say it because I may jinx us, but I agree with you.

At the moment, the use of IP seems to somewhat subtle. The Moana “attraction” seems more nature-focused than movie-focused. I guess we’ll have to see how heavy-handed the nighttime show turns out to be. But right now the only truly egregious choice here looks like Guardians.

I honestly was expecting much worse.

Even Guardians, I’m surprised (and hopeful) that the focus looks to be on exploring the Galaxy, and not the characters.

Now, this could all just be like a movie preview with all the best parts, with Sunday throwing IPs in all of this. Or budget cuts take out the creativity and they rely on IPs instead (maybe if I say it it won’t jinx it)

That’s a lot of words to say that they still don’t know what the theme of this theme park is.

This artwork is very pretty, but it just seems to show what we knew was coming - an asymmetrical mish-mash of structures with vague purposes scattered among rides with no unifying themes.

Now, if they want to give us a Mystic Manor-level Imagination, a lot can be forgiven.

I'll always cherish classic Epcot. but it's definitely time for the "Future World" naming to go. We've become advanced enough where nothing they could ever do would feel like a realistic vision of the future, and they've clearly been moving away from that theme for quite some time.
Of course they could offer a “realistic vision” of the future. They just don’t want to spend the time or the money or, more importantly, to take even the mild ideological position that offering such a vision would require.

Come on. It’s no harder to offer a vision of the future now then it was in the 70s.

I still say the Project Gemini name for FW would fit just fine..
