Saw a tweet by WDW News that said they are eliminating the seasonal, regular, and premium passes. Changing to silver, gold, and platinum (similar to previous names respectively). Supposedly gold and platinum will include photo pass.

Sounds like they are going to be going toward that "tiered" system of admission days. As only regular and premium 365-day AP's are generally available to the public at this time, I can see why Steve would say this would make some folks happy. I stopped being an AP holder several years ago, but as someone who wouldn't be caught dead at WDW during a major holiday or the middle of the summer, or any other "premium" period, I would have welcomed it if I could get a cheaper level AP that would still have gotten me in when I actually wanted to go.

Are they going to make it more like DL, where you pay one price for 365 days or a lower price for a pass with blockouts. Or like Universal's Power Passes?

For the next 2 years, maybe they will have an "Aluminum" Annual Pass for people who just want to ride the 4 attractions left at DHS. :D

That's what it sounds like to me. Which many would really love, I am sure. If I still was an AP holder, I would. But I won't be again until Star Wars is completed, at the earliest.

Oh no! There was a survey around a while ago about silver/gold or whatever. I could be remembering incorrectly but they had most weekend days set as gold so if you ever wanted to go on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday you had to buy the gold pass. Hopefully they're going in another direction.

My thought was that for every day you want your AP to get you into MK, you have to stop at DHS first and buy something. Gotta hit those numbers!

Oddly enough, they're bypassing Floridians and investing a majority of their money in a huge marketing push for the Iowan Pass, soon to be referred to as the 'I Win Pass'. Clever campaign.
YES!!! Being from Iowa, I could go for this one!!!! Wake me when it happens and I'll cash my winning lottery ticket to buy each of my family and friends one!;)

We noticed toward the end of the evening tonight in Epcot, construction crews were taking down the Epcot parking price signs. We wondered if a change in parking prices was coming.

Sounds like that might be the case.
