Let's see what $16 will get me.....a couple of minutes over DTD or 2 overpriced draught ales at the Rose and Crown. I think I'll pick the Pub!

Besides the ballon is ugly to me. It would have made more since to have a Mickey Head.

Go cheap carnival attractions, thats all I have to say and god help me when I go down there and the DW wants to go for a ride as I have a panic attack from the height and paying $32 for both of us to ride.

I saw the big, yellow ballon yesterday up close - what an eye catcher for sure.

However, I'll just watch others enjoy the ride because I'm a little paranoid about some nut shooting the balloon in flight - it's an awful big target.

$16 is par for the course.

Last NJ Festival of Ballooning that I went to (2 or 3 years ago) I think it was $12 to go up in a teathered one - and that was in a farm field.

You can see it from SSR when it's flying (of course), and you can get an idea of how high it goes.

Good thing I don't stay at Saratoga Springs...then I'd be all nervous that I forgot to close my drapes or put pants on in case the balloon starts flying by my window.

My kids and husband went up in the Disneyland Paris one and loved it. They had to pay an additional charge to ride and the loved seeing the resort from another perspective. All you Budding Photographers will get some stunning pictures. It was funny though my daughter was excited about seeing McDonalds from the air, so she could see castle, thunder mountain etc and jumped up and down about McDs:ROFLOL:Kids!

There's a big difference between seeing a French countryside from the sky and swamps and maintenance facilities that you see in Walt Disney World.

I'm certain the people in the balloon would be more horrified at seeing you than vice versa

I wouldn't call that area in France exactly scenic. And it's just about as flat. And they even have maintenace facilities in France :lookaroun

I used to be utterly cynical and then I grew up :D

What you consider swamps and maintenance facilities other people consider nature and unseen Walt Disney World.

You live in Orlando so are accustomed to your everyday sights, your average guest at WDW is not.

Well whatever we see, we will give it a try:animwink:, don't shoot the thing down before you try it:p. We wouldn't be happy if they weren't offering new rides and experiences and don't seem happy when they do, Disney has a hard job pleasing everyone:hammer:.

I read somewhere it goes up to 400 feet, and you're up for 6 minutes. (it might have even been the other thread about this topic on wdwmagic!)

Can anyone confirm this? Because if so, ironically that's the same height and trip length as Sea World's SkyTower. Of course, the SkyTower is only $3 (free for APs) vs. $16...
