Excellent for you. Have fun!I am also leaving Massachusetts sept 20th for DLR. it is our first trip out west, getting so excited. we are visiting LEGOLAND, knots berry farm and of course Disney land.
All booked up, Feb 17-22.
We're staying at the Best Western Plus which looks to be almost right across from the entrance, not the "Inn and Suites" location. Reviews online are so so but I'm not expecting much.
89 bucks a night, how can you beat that? Just a place to shower and sleep.
I've stayed at the Best Western Plus. The rooms are nice and you get free complimentary breakfast. AND it's cheap and directly across the street from the parks. You really can't beat that. Your dates seem pretty perfect. Not too long, not too short of a stay. You did good.
You might hit some crowds, but DL is definately do-able. Just get an early start and enjoy.

now... for the car rental! seems pretty high for a week... around 300ish
hopefully the Presidents week won't be too busy... I mean, my last trips to WDW were July, March, June... BUSY.
That's one of the big reasons we decided on DLR, wife is a teacher and we have February vacation here in New England. Everyone goes down to WDW in this area that week and the crowd projections reflect it.
If you have a Costco card try renting a car through the Costco travel agency. I'm sure they can beat that price.now... for the car rental! seems pretty high for a week... around 300ish
I'm def expecting some crowds, but hopefully nothing like "busy" season at WDW.
