Better than Lucky!

I was more impressed before I saw the video. It was sort of funny how the jaw on the T-rex and the crest on the other one giggled when it walked. It seemed kind of lousy. I always thought Japan was a leader with electronics/robotics?

I still say they should do one of these "lucky" type animatronics made into a figment. Since figment is in E.P.C.O.T. and it is the world of tomorow it just seems to fit for me. Anybody else agree.
I think it would actually show some "imagination" and I think would be a great way to introduce this technology into the park.

Yea, I'm pretty sure the wizard-looking guy that goes around with Lucky controls him.
"Lucky and Chandler interact, but Chandler does not operate the character—Lucky is controlled by two discreet operators on the sidelines. Lucky grunts, groans and whines in reaction to Chandler's comments and events around him. He can blow his nose, wink, smile, and look around."

Anyone else disappointed Lucky will only appear for 2 months in AK? What's that about? Few will get to see him. Any chance his stay will be longer?

Yes it is very possible he will stay longer. Lucky has never been used for long-term daily operation and WDI is unsure of how he will react to this environment. They have only said two months because that is all they are willing to guarantee. If lucky holds up well in those two months he may stay a third, then possibly a fourth, and so on.

Go to Japan this year to see some free roaming dinosaurs that do not need to pull a cart!

Now if IOA is going to buy one of these....
The only different thing is that those 2 (just 2) had cost them over a 100 milion $$

And Lucky only 5m...

BTW... There are at some similar robots animals at R&D...

Example:

So....... it's nothing new... (to me) :D :D :D

I'm not looking at this as a "which one is better" argument. I see a step in the creation of a better animatronic, robot, or whatever you want to call it.
