What is the easiet way to get from POFQ to the Boardwalk? I have a PS for a Sunday AM breakfast at Spoodles. Also, how long will it take me to get there? Thanks. Joni

In all honesty, it is best for you to drive and park at Boardwalk. If you insist on taking the bus, you can take a bus from PO to MK or AK, and then another bus from MK or AK to Boardwalk. There is no direct route.

Only do that if you are going to Epcot anyway, otherwise you'll waste a day's admission. You would take the bus to Epcot, enter the park, walk back through to World Showcase, go counterclockwise (right) past Canada & England to the International Gateway. Exit Epcot there & walk along the edge of the lake to Spoodles. They do a nice breakfast, enjoy!

Actually, you should change your reservations to one of the Epcot hotels - Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan or Dolphin! Can you tell that I don't like P.O.?
Oh, hey, that above plan only works if Epcot is open in time for your Spoodles reservation. 9:00am for park opening, in order to get back into World Showcase before 11:00am you better check to see if reservations at Spoodles will permit you to pass through.

Well you could go to Epcot, but why would you do that?

Take a bus to the Studios (yes the studios). There is a walkway or boat that will take you to the boardwalk. If you take the walkway the boardwalk is the first resort you will get to also. If you aren't in to walking you can always take the boat from the studios. Remember a bus at Epcot will not help you since they are in the back by international gateway.

Another way is to go from POFQ to Downtown Disney by bus or boat. Then you can take the Boardwalk/Swan/Dolphin/Yacht Club/Beach Club bus to the resort.

well I am not quite sure if this is out of the way or not but you could take the bus to mgm and there is a boat out front that will take you to the boardwalk. And you don't even have to have park admission to get to this boat and the boat ride only takes about 15 mins. Not to mention it is very scenic and relaxing.:)

Other than driving, the boat from the Studios entrance to the Boardwalk is the best idea. There will be minimal walking this way also to save your feet. Good suggestion!

I miss when I knew how to get anywhere on property ....I haven't been since 2000, so I have lost the gift :(

Last April, I had a room at Port Orleans Riverside that had a mildew smell that made me sick with allergies, as well as black mildew growing on the inside of the shower curtain. YUCK!

Did you mention that to the front desk?

Great suggestion of the Studios to the Boat. That is absolutely the way I would go. Just dont make your PS too early at Spoodles. The trip will take somewhere around an hour probably!!
As far as PO resorts, I just got back from PO Riverside. I didnt have any problem there. I have stayed there twice this year alone!!! I had my Mom check it out with the white glove thing to see if she found anything. She didnt either!! I am sorry that you had a bad experience, but if that is truly the case I wouldnt settle for that. I would've called the manager at the front desk and insist they put it right!! Belle

You can always call YOURIDE and have them come pick you up and take you there if you want to get there quickly. It will cost you a little money, but it is more convenient.

Mildew At P.O. Riverside

Yes, I did mention the problems to the front desk. I was only staying one night or I would have insisted on a room change. I got a sincere apology & a promise to address a housekeeping problem, nothing more. It was enough though, to steer me to only the deluxe resorts from then on. Never have had even a tiny problem with the deluxe rooms.
You know, now that I think of it, P.O. Riverside had been closed for quite a while & had only just been back open for a few days when I stayed there in April. Maybe the rooms had been closed up with no A/C for a while which would explain the mildew formation. Hmmm, I think that might explain the problem.

Still Eljay, no reason to stint on the service!!!! Isnt that why they close when they do a rehab?? I would imagine that they would remove all the shower curtains, bedspreads, blankets etc for storage and just leave what cant be easily moved out of a room. Oh well. When I get around to staying at a Deluxe we will talk then!!! Belle

You are absolutely right, what's a rehab for?
I wait for the good AP and slow season discounts when the deluxe rooms are affordable. You'll get spoiled if you try them!
