Where is the best view of the MK fireworks (Wishes or HalloWishes). Is it from the GF dock/beach, Poly beach, Contemp balcony, or TTC ferry dock? Do each dim the lights and play music? We have only done the Contemp balcony this summer and enjoyed it with paying anything which is always great in Disney :)

The best view is from inside the park. I'd only watch from the Poly if I happened to be staying there. I wouldn't make a trip over there just to watch them.

But if I had to pick between Poly and GF, I'd pick Poly.

Its by no means the best view, but if you happen to see the show a couple times, one really neat place to watch is from right behind the carosel. Here are the fireworks are directly above your head. A totally different persective and really cool. You just dont get the music or story with it. Something different to try.

Outside of that I would vote the contemporary from the California Grill

We enjoy the Poly beach, as it is free, not crowded, and the pipe the audio in there as well. We also like to time it right and get on BTMRR when the fireworks start, as that is an amazing ride at night with fireworks.

Crowding in on Main Street isn't something we like to do often.

I was on SM one time and it was amazing to roll outside up that high and see them exploding above you.

We were just there in Sept and watched them from the tables in front of Casey's on the corner on main st. We didn't intentionally sit there with the purpose of watching the fireworks, just hungry. We had a perfect view.
This is also great for that horrendous Dream Along with Mickey!

Our favorite place is the doc at GF, but we also enjoy the beach at Poly. My sister loves watching the fireworks from Fantasyland because of the the 360 effect.

GF then Poly imho...

I love the Poly beach to watch the fireworks! I prefer to be there actually though: even though there's crowds, it's still best. We stand on the Tomorrowland bridge. It's a nice view.:)

When inside the park, we prefer watching Wishes from Tomorrowland or Frontierland. Both are significantly less crowded than Main Street and the Central Hub.

Outside of the park, we prefer the balconies of the Contemporary but we've never tried the dock at GF. We'll have to give that one a try!

I have tried both Top of the World at BLT and beach at Poly. I think they are both great. Never tried GF. Poly has a more straight on view looking at the castle while BLT was more from the side almost like you are watching from above tomorrowland. The high up vantage from BLT was pretty amazing. The beach at Poly is an awesome setting. They are both equally good. If you are putting a gun to my head I guess Poly wins out since you can grab a dole whip In Captain Cooks before the fireworks ;).

I definately would have to say the Poly beach. That is also where my DH proposed ;) Afterwards, you can head to Captain Cook's for a dole whip too!!! Or, to the tambu lounge for a Lapu Lapu! Added bonus!!

I personally prefer in the park as well, but if you're trying to beat the crowds- the Contemporary and Poly beach are nice. With the Poly beach, you're properly aligned with the castle and see the show from the intended perspective, but you are far enough away that it feels a bit distant IMO. We've also viewed it from Cali Grill and while you're viewing at an angle, you are much closer to the action. For that reason, I liked Cali Grill better. We have never viewed it from the GF and due to some changes in plans, we'll have to pass on that again this trip unless we cut out of the park on our BoG night and make it to the GF in time. For what it's worth...here are some pics from the Poly beach and inside of Cali Grill (we couldn't make it out to the deck b/c my daughter hurt her feet, but decent view from our table).

However, it still doesn't beat being in the park if you can stomach the crowds. We've watched from the bridge to Tomorrowland and it was pretty good (and will be viewing from that area again for dessert party), but I seem to prefer the area sort of in between Casey's and Crystal Palace. I just need to remember that we should stay on that side of the park post show to avoid fighting the crowds as much. But, these are some shots from what's become our more preferred area.

Still not a perfect view, but better than viewing outside the park.

If you are staying at the GF, the rooms that overlook the lagoon with the Theme Park View. Absolutely beautiful.
Well, we aren't staying there, but we do enjoy touring it. :)

Awesome! I watched a YouTube video of the fireworks from Poly beach and they looked great! Especially during the finale :)

We enjoy watching them from several locations. (1) Ride the ferry across the Seven Seas Lagoon. It stops at the Poly, MK, and GF. It's a beautiful show to watch while out on the lagoon. (2) When we've stayed at the Poly, we've always gotten a room in the Aotearoa longhouse which it usually labeled 'garden view' except that it faces the direction of MK and we could sit out right on the balcony from our room and enjoy the fireworks show there too.
