Looking for everbodys thoughts. Which value resort has the best bus service All Star Sports or Pop Century. Take into consideration Pop may be sharing soon with Art of Animation.

Everyone will say Pop Century, but if you've stayed at both, you're likely to find All Stars is as good (and if you're smart), better.

POP ,i stayed at sports and music and all times in Sept and pop i never had to stand or wait and i did for the All Stars.

If it's "busy", All Star Sports is a better bet because it won't be sharing buses with the other All Star resorts. During the slower times, the All Stars will share a single bus with all three. Pop can get absolutely insane during the busy times, but there's no way to split-off any riders like All Star Sports can. I love Pop, and will stay there off-peak, but I'll hit All Star Sports otherwise. We'll have to see if they do or don't share with Art of Animation during off-peak. If they do, then it'll likely be a wash, but I'd stay at Pop anyway because I like it better.

Personally, I thought Sports had the best bus service. Sometimes I think people's responses when this question is asked aren't put in the proper perspective. But that's just my opinion. They say the All Star's all share buses. While that is true but only to a point. I've stayed at all of the All Stars on numerous occasions. The only time they share are during non peak hours. At park openings and closings each All Stars have their own bus service. When they do share Sports is the first to be picked up and dropped off.
Pop I thought had the worse bus service. Lines all the time.

Sports, POP is much bigger and All Stars share very rarely, i would go with sports

Request the Mighty Ducks or 101 Dalmatians sections at Movies. It's an easy walk to either the Movies bus stop or the Music bus stop if you just cross a little service road. Very nice to have the choice when you're tired and you just want to leave the park.

the bus service at Pop is better usually. it has its own dedicated buses. BTW it will NOT share bus service with Art of Animation AOA will have its own service as well. the All-Stars service can be almost as good but it depends on time of year and hour of the day and crowd capacity. what i mean is this, many times each All-Star's resord will also have its own service in which case it depends on which park you are going to that will determine if its POP or All-STars. however many times the 3 All-Stars will share buses, its up to disney.
so in the final analysis, IMO, POP has the better bus service. :wave:

Have stayed at movies in '09, sports in '10, and pop in '11. Personally thought POP had the better bus service. Went during peak times (thanksgiving & spring breaks) and had to share buses with all-stars both times we were there - especially at park closing...always had to wait for a bus. Didn't seem to have that problem when we stayed at POP.

From what the insiders on this site say, Pop and AoA resorts will have their own resort specific buses.
I have stayed at All Star Movies Sept 8 - 15 2001, and at Pop Century several times (Sept - Oct 2004, Dec 9 - 16 2006, May and Dec 2008, May 2009, and Dec 7 - 15 2010 so that makes 6 times there)
They sometimes do share buses at the AS resorts. I feel better knowing that when I catch my bus, it will go to Pop Century and no where else.
Pop tends to be more popular though. So there are pluses either way.
If you go to AS resorts and want to be picked up first and dropped off first then go to AS Sports. Or as the other poster said, stay in 101 Dalmations part of AS Movies and have 2 choices by being able to go to AS Music bus stop. AS Movies is the newest of the AS resorts.
Pop is just my personal favorite. I like the pop culture theme.
