Best Unsung Attraction

EDIT: The Universe of Energy I was thinking about was Ellen's Energy Adventure. . . but choose whichever.

For some reason I've always had a soft spot for Maelstrom... and you have to admit... it's probably the most unsung out of any attraction at Disney!

Second I guess would be CoP... I suppose you could count that as unsung?

Okay... the poll wasn't there when I answered that question... I SWEAR!! But among those that you listed, Cranium Command, definitely... I always find it so hysterical even though it's so outdated... and I'm sure it will be leaving us soon... :-(

I personally think Carousel of Progress is too main-stream for unsung - and it has hundreds of threads on these boards! And Maelstrom is somewhat unsung, you're right, but I think most people think of this attraction when envisioning the Norway pavilion - plus it has Fastpass - but I see where you're coming from, although El Rio seems more unsung than this.

Anyway, I may as well put this in order, favorite to least favorite, although I adore the new Universe of Energy, Maelstrom, and El Rio:

I generally agree with the lists given here so far, and would probably add a few more. When I look at that, it continues to surprise me how many attractions have been overlooked by many for whatever reason.

My wife and I truly love Cranium Command. It is clever, unique and VERY entertaining. Some may say it's dated, I guess due to recognition of the actors and their TV personalities, but I think their performances stand alone. Even the dated "pump you up" reference that is in the SNL archives now has new life due to Governor Arnold.

I always thought Alien Encounter was overlooked in spite of solid lines...it was never advertized and a surprising number of people never knew of it. Likewise The Land and American Adventure seem to be overlooked by too many.

I remember LOTS of Alien Encounter ads - at least down here in Florida. It was the "centerpiece" of New Tomorrowland. . . and used to really bring the guests in.

I absolutely admire your passion with Cranium Command, by the way. This is an Epcot CLASSIC!

I absolutely LOVE Universe of Energy. I've only been on it once because we thought it would be quite lame. But on our last trip we had spare time before a FP time and decided to try it out. I had no idea what I was missing. We all loved it. AND we had a FRONT SEAT! Made it even better!

The choices are too hard! I picked Cranium Command though I could have easily picked any of them (exept UoE, I don't have any attachment to it).

One unsung attraction that I discovered on my recent visit is the animation display behind the photo pick up place at the very beginning of Main Street. The Exposition Hall? We went back there and they have cutouts of classic animated features - Steamboat Willie, Snow White, 101 Dalmations and Toy Story that you can put your face through and take a picture. Then there is a small theater showing old animated shorts. There was nobody in there when we went in, though I am positive there were parents sitting outside in the heat with drowsy kids who would have been much happier if they were sitting in an upholstered theater seat watching cartoons while their toddler napped! I haven't heard about this theater area anywhere, and it was a very pleasant, air conditioned non-crowded place to spend a few minutes on a hot July Saturday!

Yer, the Exposition Hall is one of the attractions that is missed by most people who only want to be able to find everything and not take in the magic (this is just my opinion ) One of my fav unsung rides is El Rio del Tiempo and im also a very big fan of TTA! :king:

My vote is for Cranium Command, Fuzzy...Scuzzy...I mean Buzzy is very underated and in a lot of cases unknown by guests. The attraction has great potential and is so creative!! My husband laughs out loud throughout!!

I think this is a good sign to Disney that it should keep the Cranium Command, no matter what happens to Wonders of Life.

Actually, Cranium Command was one of Leonard Maltin's favorite Epcot attractions.

Kitchen Kabaret was one of Epcot's signature classics. . . well-loved by thousands. One of my personal favorites in Disney history!
