The Incredible Schmulk

Wow I love the idea of the Progressive Dinner! I may have to try this next month!

It usually works out pretty well in the Epcot resort area. We actually did it a couple of times on that trip. On one occasion, we started with drinks and the Jalepeno Roll at Kimono's. We then moved on to bluezoo's lounge, where we had excellent signature cocktails and a couple of small appetizers from the restaurant and lounge menus. After that, we had the Parmesan plate at Il Mulino, with a beer for me and a prosecco for the lady. We ended the night in the Ale & Compass Lounge in the Yacht Club, where we got a couple more drinks to accompany the pot braised mussels and truffle fries on the bar menu.

It worked out really well, and the casual pace of the meal and spacing of the dishes meant that we got to sample a bunch of new items in cool places without feeling like we were gorging ourselves like gluttons. The alcohol did eventually catch up with us a bit, though, so we decided to end the night back at our resort's lounge instead of going to Jellyrolls, as was the original plan.

Yachtsman is the best in my opinion. You can order a strip steak or a filet from almost any restaurant, when I go to a steakhouse I'm looking to order a nice Porterhouse or a Rib-Eye. To be fair I should mention, we have not tried Shula's, being from NYC I really don't care much for chain restaurants.

A porterhouse is a strip and a filet. Cut out the "T" bone and one side is strip, the other the filet.

Yeah, they are together in a porterhouse and the bone adds flavor, but they are still the same cuts. Not to mention, cooking them at the same time tends to make one side either over or underdone.
