My wife and I want to be as close to the main bus pickup for the parks as possible since we will be in the parks most of the time. What's the best building to stay in to be the closest to the main bus terminal at CS? Thanks in advance! :)

when we stayed at CS, the bus made the loop with a couple of stops. I'm sure it does the same today. So anywhere you stay you'll have a bus stop close by.

When I stayed at Coronado Springs I was located in the "Casitas" building. You have to walk all the way across the parking lot to get to the bus stops. Once you get there, the buses are about as bad as the All Star's in regards to time in between buses.

Most specifically:

Cabanas Bldg. 9B ~ Rooms 9523-9526
They are closeset to Pepper Market and main bus stop and they are standard view rooms with a water view!

Have fun!

Good Location

When we stayed there last, we requested a corner room. Not only do you get more windows, but you may even get a view of the water while paying not paying for it...

If you want a close building... book a preferred room. :) They now offer a preferred selection for moderate resorts so that you can pay for and be guarenteed a close room. If you choose not to book it - don't go with the idea that you can get an upgrade as they only include a couple of buildings in the preferred catagory so they fill up quick.

If you've paid for the preferred room then there's no reason to request a special building as they'll all be close to the main area/bus stop.

If you've already paid for your trip and you didn't pay for a preferred room... no worries again... the layout of the hotel gives you the option of being close to the main pool, or the lobby/food court area... not both. So if you're on the far side of the resort - you'll still have a bus stop near by, and the pool will be just a short walk away... if you're on the front side of the resort, you'll be close to the main bus stop and food court, but the big pool will be quite a hike.

Tip: at the end of the day - grab a hammock and relax for a bit while the kids (if any) play in the sand next to you and watch the sunset over the lake... it makes for a great and relaxing way to end a long day on your feet. :)

I too am going to go with the Casitas Buildings 1 or 2. There are standard and "preferred" Water view rooms all around this resort. The only preferred rooms I Am aware of that actually get you closer to the main building are in the Value Level resorts. Belle

As of right now, CSR does NOT offer preferred room locations for the 2007 year. The only moderate to do this is currently CBR.

The Cabanas section would be your best bet for ideal room locations. It's in the middle of the path between the main building (lobby, peppermarket, check-in) and the main pool (the dig site)

Castias are another great section and are beautiful! I have read that a lot of conference attendees stay in this section as it's closest to the convention center. It's also a little bit further from the Dig site pool, but close to Pepper Market.

Ideal buildings to request are:
Cabana 9A 9B 8B (8B is closer to the dig site and cabana bus stop)
Castia 1 2 3

Have fun!

Having stayed in Cabanas 9B, I agree. You're close to the bus, not to far from the Pepper Market/Tienda/Maya Grill, and you are right near the footbridge to the dig site/themed pool. This location is ideal.

I agree. We stayed in Cabana 9B last year and it was the perfect location, IMO. We were steps from the bus stop and a very short walk to the Peppermarket and the Pool.
