Choose wisely and don't just do recency bias! What ride deserves the title of best DLR ride? What does your ranking, or own top 10 look like?

I must protest the inclusion of Incredicoaster (ew) but the exclusion of Big Thunder. But I digress...

Here's my top 10 list as of this moment:
10.Alice
9. Railroad
8. Small World
7. RSR
6. Big Thunder
5. Indy
4. Matterhorn
3. Space
2. Pirates
1. Mansion

Honorable mention to Toad and the Monorail.

I chose Splash Mountain. I have just always had a soft spot for it, and it’s my favorite ride anywhere.
1. Splash Mountain
2. Pirates of the Caribbean
3. Indiana Jones Adventure
4. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
5. Radiator Springs Racers
6. Haunted Mansion
7. Mark Twain Riverboat
8. Jungle Cruise
9. Star Tours
10. Disneyland Railroad

I will add that some of my favorite things about Disneyland aren’t so much rides but experiences like Tom Sawyer Island, Enchanted Tiki Room, Mr. Lincoln, the Main Street Vehicles... to me, those are what really set Disneyland apart from the rest of the competition.

I put Pirates because it has always been my favorite ride. When I was younger I was scared of / too small for things like Space Mountain or Indiana Jones, I always loved Pirates and Haunted Mansion because they were just so fun to go on and look around the sets, which I obviously thought were real when I was that young. Growing up, these rides have remained my favorite, the ambiance they create is so fun and incredible and immersive, but I do believe Indiana Jones deserves so much praise. It is how thrill rides should be done, real sets, physical thrills in a bumpy jeep in a temple, incredible detail and theming, it is truly amazing what they have created. Even though so many effects are broken / missing, the ride still stands as one of the most popular in the entire park. When I go with my family, we always go straight to Indiana Jones for our first ride of the day, sometimes even twice. But again, Pirates has always been so magical to me, the smell of the water, the cool skeletons in the caves and it was so fun always looking around seeing all the hijinx the pirates were getting into, and the magical feeling of going up a waterfall. When I was younger, I was scared the guns were actually shooting in the shootout scene, so I would always duck and make sure I didn't get hurt during that part. All these years later, I still like to pretend and make sure I'm dodging the bullets, never wanna look down the barrel of a musket with a drunk pirate behind it!

If you read my venting post, you will figure out where this comes from.

My Dad would say the Monorail. Heck, I called it the Dad's (aka Adult ride). When I was a kid, at the DLH station, it only took a few steps to get to the Monorail Lounge. I was handed a few bucks and told to head down to the Arcade in the Middle of the Lagoon.

Well, amazing how a couple of Beers made the Adults be in a better mood when I returned, and we headed back to the park....
