I always check out the menus at www.allearsnet.com. The items listed in blue even have a photo.

MK - Cosmic Ray's (Tomorrowland) has a nice variety for the kids. Columbia Harbor House (Liberty Square) has lighter items such as tuna, hummus, etc. or you could just enjoy a dog & fries sitting in the hub at Casey's Corner
Epcot - Sunshine Seasons & Electric Umbrella (in Futureworld) or check out the amazing variety in World Showcase - anything you or your kids would want to try - La Cantina (Mexico), Sommerfest (Germany), Liberty Inn (America), Boulangerie (France) - Yorkshire County Fish Shop (UK)
HS - Starring Rolls Cafe or Backlot Express ("Star Wars" fun menu now)
AK - We absolutely loved our lunch at the new Harambe Market this year! (Africa)

Magic Kingdom:

Casey's (Main Street) for hot dogs - they are the best
Be Our Guest (New Fantasyland) - great ambiance, but you will need to make an advanced dining reservation for lunch and they go fast. It is the most in demand restaurant in the park. The food at lunch is okay.
Cosmic Ray's (Tomorrowland) - never eaten there, but everyone talks about how good it is
Tortuga Tavern (Adventureland, near Pirates of the Caribbean) - we've gotten some really good burritos, but the restaurant isn't always open
Pinocchio's (Fantasyland across from Mickey's Philharmonic) - great flatbreads
Columbia Harbor House (Liberty Square near Haunted Mansion) - great place to eat

Stay away from Pecos Bills - it's marginal food at best (I think the hamburgers at McDonald's are better) and always crowded because it's right there at both Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain.

If you go on the Disney World website and click on all dining then filter for Magic Kingdom, all the restaurants, both quick service and table service will be listed. Select one of the restaurants and most will have a description of their food type (American, Mexican, multiple cuisines, etc.) and the price range. Plus, most restaurants have a menu listing you can view which will include prices. Ignore the Trip Advisor reviews - most reviews of that nature aren't accurate - people do reviews when they've had a negative experience (the waiter took an extra 3 seconds to bring that glass of water I demanded). However, take a look at the photos people have posted of their selections to get a better idea of what a Lobster roll looks like since you are from Europe and a lobster roll is a very New England food.

Don't think you can go wrong with any of the restaurants I've mentioned. I am sure other members will give you additional recommendations. These are the restaurants we tend to frequent in the Magic Kingdom. The day I arrive, I will make a special trip to Casey's - even though I don't have plans that day for the Magic Kingdom - just to have one of their hot dogs. Plus, they have raspberry iced tea, which I love.

Magic Kingdom:
Casey's Corner
Pecos Bills (revamped menu is now Mexican)

Epcot
:
Tangierene Cafe (best quick service place on property)
Katsura Grill
Sunshine Seasons
Boulangerie Patisserie
etc.
etc.

Animal Kingdom:
Harambe Market
Flame Tree
Anandapur Local Food Cafes

Hollywood Studios:
None, really. Eat if you need to, but nothing here is really worth seeking out on purpose.
Sci-Fi Dine-In isn't that much more expensive than the quick service places, but is air-conditioned and interestingly themed. If you agree to sit at the picnic tables at the back you can usually walk right in.

Well it sounds to me like you and your family are a bit adventurous so I think you all may like to try:

MK - Columbia Harbour House, Pinocchio Village Haus, Tortuga Tavern
Also you can make a meal out of many of the options found at Liberty Square Market and Sleepy Hollow

Epcot - Boulangerie Patisserie les Halles, Katsura Grill, Liberty Inn, Sunshine Seasons, Tangierine Café, Taste Track, Yorkshire Fish Shop

DHS - Backlot Express, Starring Rolls, Studio Catering Co., Sunset Market Place
I have heard that you can get some pretty good snacks at Starbucks Trolley Car Café

DAK - Flame Tree BBQ, Harambe Market, RestaurantoSaurus, Yak & Yeti Local Foods
Plus there are quite a few little kiosks around the park with great snack and meal options so do a little research or when you pass by a place take a peek at their menu. I really liked the Lobster Mac & Cheese from what is now called 8 Spoon Café, the Falafel and Samosas from Mr. Kamal's are really good and my friend really liked the Buffalo Chicken Waffle Slider from Trilo-Bites

My children are small, 3 and 5 during our last trip.

At EPCOT, they really liked Tangierine Cafe for the hummus, bread, chicken, olives, etc.

At MK, we usually go to Pinocchio's Village Haus for the flatbreads or Columbia Harbour House for fried fish and chips.

We've done Crystal Palace - in fact, that's one of our "go to" restaurants, particularly for breakfast. They'll accept reservations during times before the park opens, which means you can get in to the park early to eat. If you time your reservation right, you can finish your meal right before the gates open and avoid the rush, plus get to an in-demand ride before the masses. It'll be an early wake-up call, but we've always found it to be worth it. The food is ok - it's a buffet there, no matter what meal you eat - no better or worse than other Disney buffets, but it's a fun, cordial environment. HTH!

Crystal Palace is a character with Winnie the pooh and not a quick service. You probably knew that, and the reason I mention is you may be there for a while waiting to capture photo's with each. Well worth the time to sit in air conditioning to prep for the rest of the day.

Yes i was thinking crystal palace for breakfast buffet but i havent checked opening hours yet...
The only thing left to figure out is where to go for quick service at HS and MK...we are not hot dog fans (casey is out) and there really seem to be very few options at HS!

MK- Tortuga Tavern has a new menu that looks really good, then there's Cosmic Rays, Casey's, Sleepy Hollows Waffle sandwiches are great, Pinnochio's has good flatbreads and the likes, and Friars Nook is good when it's open.
EP-So many great choices here thanks to the WS! We love Lotus Blossom Cafe in China, Les Halles in France, Cantina in Mexico has great Nachos, Krigla Cafe in Norway has good sandwiches, etc..
DHS-Sorry, no suggestions here as we try to avoid eating in this park.
AK-Pizzafari, Flame Tree and Yak and Yeti.

Enjoy!
