Best of WDW!!

Our "chill" time typically is nap time. Hands down, my favorite place to chill is on the Carousel of Progress. It is my favorite "ride" and whenever the kiddo needs a nap, we just jump on and stay on. The cast members always look at us funny, but when they see the kid sleeping, they just nod and move right along to the next show. While I ride and hold the kid, DH leaves to ride space mountain or something more adult-like. Then he'll try to jump on and switch if he gets back before she's awake.

The best part is if it starts raining (which it usually does during nap time), we're just fine! And, it stays dark and air conditioned. It really is the perfect spot for a nap! I cannot get enough of John and Rover!!

That's at the MK. At Epcot, we usually head to the Beer Garden in Germany, because again, it's covered and dark (bonus: there's alcohol). Otherwise, we love the pastry shop in France. It's outdoors though (i.e., rain!!). We have been known to watch the French movie over and over like the Carousel of Progress, but that's definitely not my favorite. Again, indoors, air conditioned and dark=convenient for a nap.

We have napped at the Pizzafari in AK. In that back room, it's pretty nice and you can get some breadsticks while you sit there.

I honestly can't say we've ever had nap time at HS??? Usually, we're done with that park before nap time hits! I guess that says something about HS!!

Great thread!!

Our favorite nap place i right by the bathrooms next to SM in Tomorrowland. No one is ever usually there. Favorite rain spot.......POTC. stroller doesnt get wet and i can never ride that ride enough

How about sitting out on that little nose of land by the Poly that juts out into the Seven Seas Lagoon propped up against a palm tree just taking in the view. It would be nice to be able to get a Dole Whip over there before it melted!

That is a great place! I've never done it, but I really want to go to the Poly some evening, watch their outdoor movie and then watch the MK fireworks from the beach. I've heard, but I can't confirm, that they pump the music in from the MK to the Poly beach for the fireworks. What a great view! And, you're right! They should put up a little Dole Whip booth there! It fits the character of the hotel, right?

We don't have a place, but more of a ride in each park we tend to go to when we need a break from the heat, or just to sit down for a while. Typically there isn't a line and these rides are a little longer than normal. Sometimes we just stay on and ride two or three times!

Epcot - Living with the Land
MK - Carousel of Progress
DHS - Back lot tour unless Great Movie Ride has no wait.
AK - Typically we catch a show we need a break here.

For QS: Pecos Bills ,sunshine seasons, cosmic rays. Cant pick just one!

Relaxing in the World Showcase Has always been my favorite, especially when staying at the beach club, its super convenient.

Good morning today's topic will be Coasters what in WDW is the best coaster.

IMO its BTMRR. It had the theming the story and doesn't put all it's eggs in one basket like EE.

Best actual Coaster - probably the Aerosmith Coaster

Best Nostalgic Coaster- Space Mountain. I cannot cannot cannot go to Disney World and not ride Space Mountain. Well, I can I guess. I went a few years ago (May 2009?) and it was down for refurb. I was not happy about it  But, I guess I did survive. It is definitnely one of the rides that make me realize "Yep!! I've made it! I'm here again!!" :sohappy:

Good morning again! I'd have to agree with Choodles on this one. I'll also keep to my previous ways and give an honorable mention.

Even though BTMRR may not be the most thrilling, the theming gives it the win for me. And it's one of the few you can get that day time ride perspective, and the night time ride perspective, completely different feels to it.

Honorable mention to Aerosmith for the pure thrill and take-off alone

Good morning today's topic is a tough one because it's hard to find in WdW. Where in WDW is the best Coffee?

I really have never had a good cup in WDW!

My favorite is at Boulangerie Patisserie in France. Honestly, the coffee's okay, but the coffee combined with the pastries and the setting (like you are really in a small town pastry shop in France) just makes it perfect.

Another good topic Choodles.. and look no further!!

The Writer's Stop hands down for me. For those who are not sure... it's located right on Commissary Lane. They sere "real" coffee and it's outstanding.. not NesCafe. They also make any of the other beverages you may desire.. Espresso, Cappuccino, Lates. For those hot days, Iced coffee, etc. They also sell baked goods and snacks, and great take home tins for cofee, as well as mugs.

The atmosphere is beautiful inside... great leather couches to sit back and take a break from the heat and even close your eyes for a second.

Glad I gave you a good rib shaker :) I am usually a stickler with spell check... I must of been really out of it or it may have been the 5 year old chatting in my ear just as she is right at this moment!

It had to be YC/Beach Club for me.
