I need some opinions and advice. We are heading to WDW for a day to visit DTD and watch the 4th of July Fireworks. We decided to go play a round of mini golf while there but are unsure of which course to choose. There will be 5 of us going, but that includes a 5 year old. What course would be best for taking small children? He just learned about mini golf and whats to go play again, so we figured Disney would be a great place to play. So what course would you recomend? Thanks for the advice!

Winter Summerland will be your best bet. Fantasia is a little more serious where as Winter Summerland is far more whimsical.

Me? I would do the Fantasia Gardens! The Winter summerland courses are cute...but Fantasia is brilliant.

Lots of tricksy things, and effects with many of the holes. It's my favorite Mini Golf course of all time.

My personal favorite is Fantasia Gardens! It has a more Disney feel to it and the story line is something you know and can follow.

My faves are outside of Disney...across from Downtown Disney at the Crossroads...Pirates Cove, or in Kissimmee down 192 Congo River. But if you're not into leaving the Disney property, I'd suggest Winter Summerland...I think I like the summer side better than the winter one there.

Fantasia Gardens is my favorite course. However, with a small child who just learned how to play mini-golf you may have a better time at Winter Summerland. It's an easier course, with shorter holes, and he may like it better there.

Fantasia Gardens is a blast! No lame putting greens to be found; this course has effects, traps, music, water, and all around craziness... just how mini golf should be as far as i'm concerned :)

Thanks everyone. I think we will go to WinterSummerland and let him decide if he wants sand or Santa, he will love thinking he is in charge.

I enjoy BOTH about equally. As Christmas is my favorite holiday and Winter is my favorite season, I love Winter Summerland - especially the Winter course! Like Blizzard Beach itself, it's a brilliant concept to bring a little Wintertime magic to the typically swelteringly hot Florida!

But as a HUGE fan of Disney Animation, I ALSO love Fantasia Gardens. It really captures the charm, whimsy, and music of some of the segments from the classic film, Fantasia.

I find them both to be really cute, whimsical, and have great music! So I try to do all three courses (Winter, Summer, and Gardens) about equally.

I wouldn't recommend the Fairways course at Fantasia Gardens unless you are a REALLY good golfer, though. It's MUCH more difficult than a typical mini golf course, and it doesn't have the cute touches like the other 3 courses have. It is really geared more for the serious golfer than the others.

For what it's worth, I don't find the regular course at Fantasia Gardens any more difficult than Winter Summerland - it's the Fairways course that is really hard.
