What would be your choice for the best lunch in Magic Kingdom? We have a reservation for BOG but are unimpressed with the lunch options. Where would you go/what would you have?

actually, after reading some more reviews (thanks Disney Tourist Blog) we decided to stick with our BOG reservation. Going to try the Tuna Nicoise Salad and the Carved Prime Roast Beef Sandwich (oh and the french onion soup of course!) Anyone had those before?

BoG was great. We had the pork but everything there looked really good for a counter service meal as it is for lunch. Actually probably the best flavor I have ever had at any MK restaurant and we have had everything except Cindy's Castle.

BOG, I think, is the BEST lunch. I love the Beef sandwich. and the cupcakes are to die for. You also can't beat the ambiance and service for a QS.

If I had to pick a second, it would be Pinocchio's. I actually eat there right when they open (10??) and snag a seat by Small World and watch the boats (No one thinks to eat lunch at 10, I think of it as brunch, lol). They don't serve anything fancy (I miss the Chicken Parm they had a few years ago) but they are decent and it's good atmosphere.

I hope you enjoy BOG, but you asked our choices and I'll be at the Plaza eating the best fries I've ever had anywhere and a pretty awesome chicken croissant sandwich! :hungry:

As far as QS goes, we weren't wowed by BOG. While we had the soup at dinner one time and enjoyed it A LOT, we found the lunch sandwiches to be kind of dry, a little lean on the fillings, and bland. I used to recommend CHH for non-burger QS, but we had awful food when we were there in November. So, I go back to Pecos Bill where things have always been reliable...even if they are no longer serving hot liquid cheese.

If you're looking for TS, I've heard good things about the Plaza, but have yet to try it. We've had decent lunches at CRT and LTT. Tony's doesn't interest us and we weren't fond of Crystal Palace lunch.

Of course, so much of this is subjective and the rest hinges on restaurant inconsistencies. I say if you see a menu that appeals to you...try it and form a firsthand opinion :)

The tuna salad and roast beef sandwich are our go-tos! So delicious...it's hard for us to order anything else every time we go there!

As an alternative, my vote goes to Columbia Harbor House. Fresh menu and ample seating and theming that really just helps us enjoy a slower and more relaxed atmosphere on a busy day.

Have always like Columbia Harbour House, will be trying Plaza on our trip in Nov and have a ADR for BOG, not sure about the lunch choices but have to give it a try
