Best Friends Resort

Has anyone used the new Best Friends Resort on Disneys property for their pet yet, specifically for a dog? I booked one of the vacation villas for my min pin for our next trip in January and I was wondering how it was? I was also curious to see if you took advantage of going to play with your dog during your stay. The reason we are bringing her on the 16 hr drive is so we can see her during our trip since this is the longest she's been without us, but I'm afraid that I'll be too busy enjoying the parks to actually make it over there to spend time with her.

Yes, we boarded our toy schnauzer at Best Friends in a villa for 10 nights last month. I had the same thought about whether we'd really take the time to go visit her. Boarding is never my first choice for our little dog because she's never really without us or someone to cuddle with. As far as boarding facilities go I felt like BF's was amazing. They were great. I'd certainly go back. We ended up going to visit our girl every other day or more. It didn't feel like a chore at all and was a part of our vacation that we enjoyed. It helped to have the little side-destination to keep us from focusing on parks all the time. Lemme know if you have any other questions.
