I was at WDW and I stayed at Saratoga Springs. One of the many traditions my family has at WDW is to go to the breakfast buffet at the Trails End Resturant at Fort Wilderness. Our waiter was a guy named Ken (i am 99% sure), and he was one of the nicest people we have ever met at WDW. He introduced himself, and almost every five minutes on the dot, he would come to ask "how are you", "can i get anything", etc... the difference between him and most CMs at WDW is Ken was genuine. He made the entire expeirence a pleasure. Ever since as opposed to talking about the food, whenever we talk about Trails End we talk about Ken.

World Showcase CM's

I don't remember names, buy my favorite cast members tend to be the international ones, particularly in World Showcase. (Epcot)

I appreciate all the CM's at the parks! If it wasn't for them, the parks couldn't operate! Yes, we get good ones and bad ones, but it's the men and women that wear those uniforms that make our vacation's the best they can be!

Thanks to Ken and all the other CM's who care to help us have a great time!

And special thanks to the CM in the bar at EPCOT in front of the Land on Saturday for the free beer! Sorry, I can't remember his name... Beer being the reason!

My experience would have to be at Whispering Canyon in Wilderness Lodge. There is a waiter there named Bobby who is unbelievable. He gave my older son his favorite pin (and my son doesn't do pin trading) and left an incredible impression on him.

We have been back there 3 other times since and requested him. As soon as we mention how he gave my son his favorite Tigger pin, he remembers and gives us extra special treatment.

He truly made our trip so special, that it personally made me sad that we were leaving. My son still brings his name up and this happened 2 years ago. I don't know if CM's realize how much they touch kids, but if any CM's read this and know Bobby, please let him know.

Only 33 more days til I'm home!! :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

I'm voting for my brother's best friend, Jack. He's sort of my adopted brother... he works at the Coral Reef and he's a hoot!!! He even flew in for my brother's 50th surprise party... so if you go there and see him... bug him that you know that he went to Park Ridge High School and that you know Kenney's sister...

Wow! Too many great cast memebers to list! But, here's a few memorable ones: (sorry bad with names!) Thanks for everything!!

To the CM with the Figment puppet outside of IP, you really made my little one's day!

To the CM (Andrea?) at Fantasmic who helped me get a wheelchair for my Mom who hit her limit walking to the show..... you are the greatest! She even kept checking on us, she was just wonderful. {{HUGS}}}

To Tony at ASMovies cafe, you helped stopped the tears of my older son when he lost his refillable mug. Big thanks to you for going out of your way to make his stay a happy one.

To the Ambassador from Disney Hong Kong on the Jungle Cruise, you had a great sense of humor, a fine addition to the Disney Team!

Another thanks to our wonderful server at Biergarten, I am so sorry I forgot your name, but we loved hearing the stories of your homeland. He even compared the strudel to his mother's...LOL He made that dinner a true joy!

And to all the other wonderful Cast members, who in doing their job, big or small, have always made our visits truly Magical!

There's a guy working at Soarin' (Epcot)...I forget his name because it's been nearly 6 months...he wears distinctive glasses, and he's AWESOME - so funny and completely into it. He'd definitely Walt's top choice.

There are too many to name but David at Cinderella's Royal Breakfast was solely responsible for the great time that my daughter had on her birthday...

Tony at the Pooh lunch at the Crystal Palace was great also..

All of them, but, 3 are real standouts, 1st Maura and Billie in the main street barbers. The first time we went there was before they became well known, they made it a real treat for our sons who at the time were 7 and 5, but what sticks out about that one is the fact the next day we were at the fire house where they house the horses for the trolley's, while we were there both of them came out and said hi to us, even after all of the people they had seen in their shop they made it a point to come and say hello to our boys, now when we go it's a tradition to be the first place we go we are going to MK, and they still remember us too, they are very special people. The third is a young lady named Stephanine, (unfortunatly she no longer works at WDW, at least I think) we met her on the plane on the way down in 1999, my youngest then was 3 1/2, blond, blue eyes of course he charmed her, at the end of the flight we had told her we were there for vaca, and said she was part of the Lion King show at AK, just let a CM know your there and after the show she'll come and say hi, well we got the surprise of our lives, she was not only part of the show, she was one of the main singers, KABIBI, well when the show was over we were escorted to an area where CM's are aloud and she comes out with just about the whole cast of the show in costume, and with Timone, we also got a group shot glad I got it on video, truly a memory. Ladies my hats off to you, as long as we have this memory they'll always be magic for us.:) :animwink:

I also had the pleasure of being served by Ken at Trails End buffett. Ken is by far one of the best cast members in all WDW. Ken has been with WDW for many many years and has quite a history with the company, much to long to go into here. Ken is old school Disney. I wish every new cast member (and few old ones as well) could spend an hour or two with him and learn by his example. If any of you want to experience Disney service and magic as it was in the early days (70 & 80's and early 90's) pay Ken a visit at Trails End.

Now before some of you flame me, let me note I still think Disney service and magic is great and there are a lot of great cast members, it's just changed a bit. Times change, I know.

Hats off to Ken and all the other great cast members that bring us the magic.

I don't know who the CM was at the time (this happened when I was but a child, there was only the Magic Kingdom, the Contemporary, the Polynesian and Fort Wilderness). My memory is good, but not THAT good.:p

My family was staying at the Polynesian and I was a big fan of Peter Pan at the time. I had asked my father to give a note to the CMs checking us in to the hotel asking that Peter Pan give me a wakeup call (this predates the recorded Mickey Mouse wakeup calls we have today). My father tried to explain to me that Peter Pan was probably too busy getting ready in the morning to wake me up, but being the child that I was (and still am, according to my wife) I left the note on the check-in desk.

Low and behold, who should call the next morning but Peter Pan. It sealed my lifelong love of Disney World; something I have imparted on my nine-year-old son and I intend to pass on to my six-week-old son.

Those are the memories you keep with you for life that no amount of money in the world can buy. (even if, in retrospect, Peter Pan did sound somewhat feminine! :lookaroun )

I agree. We have been waited on by Ken several times and he is one of the best. Helpful but not overbearing.

I'm voting for TJ, a bellhop at the Hollywood Tower Hotel. Apparently one of the more famous ones, appearing in every TV special about the attraction -- didn't realize that until after I experienced him though. TJ is WDW's answer to DL's Maynard.

I vote for most any of the servers at Whispering Canyon - always creating a laugh and staying in their roles.
Also, Kristyn at Artist Point, who has waited on me everytime I've been there (by chance).
And Doug, MK guest relations and tour guide - very cheerful, very knowledgeable, enough impish humor to keep adults entertained on the backstage tours, and cute too.
