We are now planning on going in September around the 15th. My days can vary somewhat but i am not sure what days are cheapest to fly. Any suggestions? Are Thursdays cheaper that Fridays or Saturdays?

Saturdays and Sundays are usually most expensive. Fridays and Mondays next. If you can fly in and out on a Tues - Thurs you typically get the best deals. I'm going the second week of June and changed mine to fly in on a Friday night as opposed to a Saturday and it saved me $500 for a family of 4.

If you look online, you'll find calendars on each airline's site with different fares. Many have a "my dates are flexible" box you can check to see different rates around your date. :)

Costs to fly to Orlando tend to go up as you get closer to your date. Usually best to book a flight as soon as you know you're going.

Good luck.

We are flying in on Saturday and we got a great deal from where we live, $62 per person from Southwest. I would be flexible and just watch flights because they usually have deals for fall travel.

Tues/Wed travel are cheaper for my 'preferred airline'.

Mondays are sometimes higher due to business travelers and weekend travelers can cause higher rates for Fri/Sat, but why not plug in various depart home & depart WDW dates just to take a look.

I've had the best luck with Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Some site, like JetBlue have all the lowest prices for the week at the top of the page after you enter in your preferred date, so it makes it easier! That option actually helped me add on an extra day in WDW, because flying there the day before I had originally planned was cheaper than 1 night stay more at my hotel, so we stayed an extra night and hung out at downtown disney and checked out art of animation for the day!

We got a rate out of BWI for 89 pp on a Sunday. Coming home was another story. We have to stay a few extra days in Disney to score the rate I was willing to pay. Return at 124 pp. on a Tuesday. Coming home any day before was too much.

Oh, we'll. not a bad problem to have.

We are actually flying in May, I found-this is just for us-Friday is a whole lot cheaper than Thursday which is kind of amazing. As for flying out, we are leaving on a Wednesday since its cheaper.....

It can depend on where you are flying from/to. As was said, a lot has to do with business flights. If you are in an area where many people on business fly away from, thenoutbound flights on a Friday may indeed be cheaper (because everyone on business is comming inbound on a Friday)

When I used to have a team that was scattered across the US, Tampa was one of the cheapest places to fly everyone in to for a meeting. There may have been places that for individual people were cheaper, but for the overall cost to my budget, Tampa was the best (actualy Vegas was cheaper, but having a team meeting in Vegas does not look good on an expense review).

I know that somtimes when people could not get flights into Tampa, they would go into Orlando and drive down. I would assume Orlando has a good amount of outbound business travel on Friday, so that may be a good day to go inbound. I would think most vacationers are flying in on Sat or Sun.
