Kobe Beef Burger, w/mushrooms and scallion compote, at Yak & Yeti. It's not cheap, but it has always been perfectly cooked and had great flavor. The fries are really good too, of you like crisp shoestring fries.

My vote is for The Boathouse in DTD. The burger I had there in April was awesome. It was cooked to perfection and not the typical hockey puck. Big and juicy.
My second choice would be Splitsville in DTD. I ate there in February of 2014 and my daughter had a decent burger there.
We'll have to try that!;)

...The ones at Sci Fi were also very mediocre.

I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but I completely agree with you. Burgers at Pecos Bill's should not be infinitely better, especially with the price difference. My burger at Sci-Fi had that burnt taste both times I went-and I order mine medium rare.

You're definitely paying for the atmosphere at Sci-Fi. That said-even that can only go so far. The reel they have playing on the screen is very short, and you'll watch the entire thing 2 1/2 times in the time spent there. Surely Disney can add to the reel with trailers from the era, most of which are in the public domain.

I've heard that the milkshakes there really are something special, but for some reason heavy dairy and the Florida sun never really seemed like an appetizing combination to me.

For the DWF and I it's the Sci-Fi. Good big Cheese Burgers, Fries and Onion Rings and a Milk shake. That will fill you up beyond belief. But if you really want to make yourself hurt then order a hot fudge Sunday for desert. Love the Sci-Fi for lunch once a visit for Cheese Burgers, Shake Rings and Fries. Love the atmosphere and a lot of those stupid class B movies I seen on TV as a kid. Can't believe I am 52, where has the time gone.

Man oh man, back in the day they served these luscious, grilled, greasy, and succulent mouth watering Double Cheeseburgers at MK, joints like Cosmic's and Pecos sold them. They were just plain but when you bit into the meat it is so juicy and tasty. They were so good, you didn't need to dress them up on the toppings bar. Just plain meat and cheese!

Sadly, my two favorites are no longer available. First was Le Cellier. Then, they decided they should be an upscale signature place, good bye burger. I found a delicious replacement at POFQ. They had a burger with fried shrimp and remoulade sauce. Sounds crazy but oh, WOW good. I just looked, and it is no longer on the menu. Back to the drawing board.

Also when I was a CM people could order custom burgers. Some people did not like the grilled kind so they can special order a fried double cheeseburger, with no problem and no extra charge.

I could have sworn I saw a menu not long ago where some restaurant now had a burger with shrimp on it.
