Best Breakfast Spots

Which places in the World have you found to be the best for enjoying breakfast, and, do these places require reservations made out in advance? I've been looking around and at least one of the places that caught my eye is Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary. Can anyone tell me about that and whether or not it's worth going to? Or, if you have other good spots, please let me know. Thanks.

We did 3 character meals and one was breakfast. Chef Mickeys we did for dinner and I was told it was the best for the food but I wasnt impressed. I thought the Crystal Palace was excellent. If you have kids, especially girls like me, then you have to try and get Cinderellas Castle for breakfast. It was fabulous and all the princesses were there. Plus you get to be a little bit ahead of the crowd at the gates. The first 2 were buffett and it was real easy to feed our kids but we paid $70 for our meal at Chefs and all the kids ate was chicken nuggets, pizza and fries. Not that I was really into what they were eating at the time as long as they ate SOMETHING! The one thing that went over real well with my youngest was all the fruit. She was sick most of the week there and for awhile thats all she would eat. For the most part it seemed very fresh and it was everywhere.

Actually my next trip will be my honeymoon trip, so there won't be any kids along....this time or ever. So does that make a difference in the recommendations?

Cinderella's for the honeymoon would be a nice touch, but I think dinner would be more romantic.

I would definitely stay away from Chef Mickey's for breakfast. It's loud and the food isn't that great IMO.

Hollywood and Vine has a good buffet, but no omelet. I enjoyed 1900 Park Fare for breakfast, with an omelet.

Boma is also a great spot for breakfast IMO.

Depends on whether you want Characters or not-OR which park you want to do that day- OR what your food court is like in your resort AND how much time do you want to use up at breakfast. At any rate you have lots of great choices and since you're at Disney, you really can't go wrong! Have a great time, and, by the way, I enjoyed Donald's Restorauntosaurus at AK.:D

Is this a character breakfast at Hollywood and Vine? I mentioned this to someone and they thought it had been discontinued.

It was as recently as Christmas, but it may be gone by now. I remember seeing that either characters were leaving or breakfast was going.

If it's still open, it's a nice place for a breakfast or any meal.

At Christmas enjoyed the character breakfast at 1900 Park Faire. We have a PS for the Gala Feast at 1900 Park Faire for dinner this June (a character meal.) We like Hollywood and Vine for breakfast cause it's usually less crowded than Chef Mickey's.

Best breakfast = Crystal Palace - character dining with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore. Reservations are recommended.
We found Chef Mickeys disappointing

Well for a honeymoon it might make a difference. Do you want to be around a lot of kids?? Assuming no, Id definitely check out Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Also there is my personal favorite, Boatwrights in the Port Orleans Riverside. Belle

Cheif Mickey's is loud.....and kid friendly...but its still great fun....

Kona's (:veryconfu ) the one at the POLY with the Tonga Toast is great.....since it was just my mom and I for breakfast...we got a table by the window....w/o having to ask....and could see the Castle.....it wasn't as loud as Chef Mickey's....but there were a lot of kids.....

What about a restaurant at the GF....I'm not sure what there names are....but I would think those would be the ones with less kids.....
**name is GF cafe.....they have a character breakfast at the other one too

What about Spoddles at the BW....

Don't forget about the Concourse SteakHouse....

I hear Whispering Canyon Cafe is good too

If you want a character breakfast then hit Kona's at the POLY....you can get a room by the window....its really pretty to look out and see the MK....

I second this. Wonderful food, not overly busy and you play for what you eat, not everything. Very good for aduts with out kids.

ummm, tonga toast. Don't miss that.

I'll second that one Belle! :slurp:

We eat breakfast there every chance we get whe we visit.

The place can get busy, but if you time it right, we've had some very nice, quite, and relaxing breakfasts there. And the food is great to boot. :D

Plus, you go check out some animals after you eat...

My wife and I have been to Chef Mickey's a couple of times without kids. I guess we are just kids at heart. We had a lot of fun and liked all the food. It was also a great excuse to ride the monorail and see the Contemporary. On thing we did that helped avoid a crowd was book one of the last seatings. We did this so we could sleep in, but found that there was no crowd at this time.
(Really though, there are so many great places. My other two favorites are Cinderella's, and we had a great breakfast buffet at the Maya Grill at Coronado Springs, but I don't know if I woud go there if I wasn't already staying there.)

For something quick, get some fresh baked goods at Main Street Bakery and eat them at the landing overlooking the Castle by Tommorrowland/Main Street area, the little yellow tables and chairs with umbrellas, On the lowest level, it is so peaceful and serene, and as cliched as it sounds, magical.

But digest quick so you can make up for lost time as you run to Space Mountain! haha

YEAH MY 150TH POST!!!!!!

Tough call for a honeymoon. But since you say you are the WDWJunkie, then I would go with any character breakfast. , Crystal place will get you in MK early and it's a good one. We love wispering Canyon at WL,No characters but good eats and good fun. Be sure to ask for Ketchup!. Also, what ever you choose make reservations ASAP!
