I think there were some real issues of trust between them. Belle trespassing in the west wing didn't help matters. Beast needs to work on anger management too. I think a separation will be helpful for them. Perhaps with counseling they can get back together.

It could be; sounds like Disney is weening guests off seeing characters together so that when they decide to completely drop some characters, we won't notice. :(

This also creates more photo opportunities, and potentially more photo-related sales.

Belle appearing with Beast, in his "beastly" state, is like human Fiona appearing with ogre Shrek over at Universal. It just doesn't make any sense. We all know how the stories ended. So why are parks creating characters as they appeared mid-story? o_O

No way! Belle is amazing! Beautiful, polite, well read, and soooooo pretty. I LOVE Belle! If only I could get a pic with her and Gaston though, as I don't much care for the Beast.

We were in EPCOT and the rest of the fam had to use the restroom. I was sitting there alone waiting and this door pops open and who should walk out but Belle (in her lovely blue and white ensemble I might add). MY jaw hit the floor. She saw this and starting giggling. She said that she was all alone and had no one to accompany her to met her friends and asked if I would be her escort. Well, duh?!!? I offered my arm and she took it and we walked off. Did I say "Oh wait, I have to tell my family where I am going?" Nope. I left with Belle. We walked and talked about books and how I was a kindergarten teacher and wanted to be Gaston in the musical because he is my opposite. She said you love books and children? I think I should take you as my handsome prince. I said "Belle, you had me at opening the door, I am so yours." :) Then the family found me :mad: darn reality ;)

True. The ironic thing, though, is that Belle and Beast really shoulda' had two attendants in the first place. One person cannot attend the characters, cut the line, keep the line cut, help Beast get ready, and get Beast out safely. So we add one attendant, but I don't think Beast has his own photographer as of yet.

I don't think I mind this change! Of course I think they could consider at least having them both together at another park somewhere so you can get a picture with both of them somewhere else?

This is kinda' the standard. Aladdin isn't in his princely garb, Arielle (generally) has a fin, Flynn goes by his old name, Rapunzel's hair is long...
They're gonna have them meet in their most popular form. Officially, they are mid-film and haven't transformed yet, but if you ask the characters they'll generally just say that somethings allowed them to revert back to their former form.

I've never seen Arielle meet & greet in "fin" form since the Grotto closed. But I always see her "leg" form with Eric at MK. Am I missing something? Where can I meet her in all of her "fin" glory?

This is another issue. There are inconsistencies within their own parks as to what format their characters appear in, whether that be in a show, parade, or meet & greet. Strange.

By that rationale, you should never see a live villain character. They almost all die in the end.
