A free 30-minute commercial for their parks every week! Geeze! Why the heck did they cancel that? That ws always one of my favorite shows too. And then to replace it, they sparsely and seldom ran "Imaginener That" instead. Ugh! So crazy! I just don't understand it...:brick:

Well, I'm sure it wasn't exactly "free", but it probably didn't cost them a lot to produce, what with having a production studio at their disposal and all.

That show should be produced again...if they think it would hurt their viewship among the 0-5 year old demographic, they could air it after 10:00pm...the time when any good parent has their small child down for the night anyway.

At the very least, release the old shows on DVD...I'd buy a set!

Our family used to watch those, too. The first ones were with Scott Harriet (sp) and he moved from area to area with a coloful sofa. My son still has them on tape and drags them out occasionally to watch.

It was later hosted by a man and woman with much the same theme but not quite as funny as a traveling sofa. The serieswas great!

I'd definitely write to request a show like that. I remember watching it. I think a guy named DJ Ross hosted it?? He hosted lots of other game shows.

anyway, that would be great if they started doing a show a week. it could only be 15 minutes, but it would be worth it. they could go behind the scenes at wdw, dl, and even tokyo and paris parks.

I think it would be a good move on Disney's part to show everyone what they have to offer at the parks now.

Go David Toms!!

In the summertime on the Disney channel...if you still want some great disney magic...at 1am and 2am the channel airs the old episodes of the "Wonderful World of Disney" show...hosted by none other than Walt Disney.

I love to watch it...it's great

All summer they air show about the parks at late night...they usually put on all the old tv shows that celebrated the anniversary from Disneyland to...you guessed it, WDW in the old days, so of course it was way before the year long celebrations of today.

I love watching the old shows for the theme parks...after you watch them you sit back and go WOW, look how far Walt's dream has come from all these old shows.

So don't forget, when summer rolls around on the Disney Channel:

1AM- The Wonderful World of Disney

2AM-The Wonderful World of Disney

And as the summer goes on they will start to air all the old anniversary shows for the theme parks.

Hope it makes you people feel better that the Disney Channel still throws in a little pixie dust for their late night lineup in the summertime. :sohappy: :king:

I don't get it :veryconfu

Cancelling this show and things like "Vault Disney" are parts in their plan to eventually turn Disney Channel into "The Sister Sister/Boy Meets World Channel". They're almost done with the transformation now.

I can't stand those shows...my sister watches them all the time and I go why are you gonna watch the "Disney" channel when it's not even Disney anymore?????

If they wanna redeem themselves, they should go back to the way it was when it started in the 80's

I was born in 1986...and I remember watching all those little cool music videos and all the old cartoons and...I was like 2 or 3 years old and I still remember watching them.

WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? What is the point of airing all the shows that are already on ABC DUUUUHH!!!! I mean I know that Disney owns ABC but why can't they just keep those shows on that netowrk!!!

If the regular "Disney" channel has to air those ABC shows, then ABC should have to air shows about WDW every hour.

Thank you

The hosts were...

J.D. Roth and Breanne (sp) Leary. I don't know what else he ever did on TV but she was on the later CHiPs episodes. George Foreman, as was mentioned earlier, was featured a la Andy Rooney on 60 Minutes.

Instead of going on calling this channel the "Disney" channel...they should just forget it and might as well call ABC2

It should work the other way around...we should turn on ABC during primetime and see shows about Disney World/Disneyland, etc...

Yuck! Every time I turn on the Disney Channel, Sister Sister is on. Boy Meets World is ok, but in every episode, either Shawn looses his temper, Cory and Topenga have issues, or Eric falls in love with some evil girl. It gets sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo anoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I say bring back WDW inside out! I tried to watch it a couple of times, but when I once found it on TV, my mom and dad dragged me to go for a walk, and I havn't seen a single episode since! Imagineer That! was neat. It made me actually look forward to the commercials.

Hey guys...the only mailing address I can find on Disney's website is:

The Walt Disney Company
500 S. Buena Vista Street
Burbank, CA 91521

I know there's one in Florida, but I've yet to locate it.

Nope, but I've never been much of an AK fan. Been to the park once for about 2/3 day. It just needs more. What's there is ok, just needs...more.

J.D. Roth has hosted a couple of game shows since then, on cable, and I just saw Brianne Leary on a cooking show on some cable channel the other day.

Yes... I remember hearing about that show, but I'd never seen it... Remember when they added that girl to WDW Inside Out? She was hott!!!! What Im getting to with this is... the first time I went to Animal Kingdom, I was on the train to (what was then) conservation station and saw the girl in the car right next to us!! I was starstruck! LOL She had a little camera crew with her also.. anyone remember her name?
