Beer in room

Does anyone know how to get a case of beer back to a Disney resort? We will be at ss and won't have a car. Do you know if the resort will sell 6 packs or where else to get them?

I'd definately go with the Hess, its only 5 minutes walk from Raglan Road and beer is a quarter of Disney prices. We always get our in-room supplies there. Take a strong bag though.

we had beer delivered from garden grocer the last 2 summers and thanksgiving to a wdw resort. we had other things too of course, but the beer was nice!!! it has to be purchased separate from the rest of your food order. the resort staff had it nice and cold when we had it brought to our room.

The gift shops sell it by the SINGLE and it gets $$$$. So we have started using Quicksilver instead of Magical Express and we get a 30 minute stop to go shopping. Yes it cost a little to use the car service but the savings for being able to get a few snacks beer and wine is worth what we will save buying beer in the gift shops and at the bars!!!! It was worked out very well for us!

If you are at SS, just go to DtD and then hit up the Hess across the street. Disney will sell you a "six pack" but its basically just 6 single beers at the single prices.

We like to stay at Boardwalk - so my DH heads to the Hess Station across the street.

He takes one of our WHEELED SUITCASES with him, loads it up with beer and water and rolls back home. :ROFLOL: :ROFLOL: :ROFLOL:

He gets some strange looks, but it works. (btw, it was my idea!)

Hess is the way to go. They have Shocktop, Heineken, Bud, Bud Light, Corona, Mikes Hard Lemonade, Wine Cooler types, very good selection and price for 4 six packs was same as a case in PA. About $40.

We always take a van (with 6-10 people depending on the year) instead of the Magical Express. So we have the driver stop at the supermarket on the way to the resort. I have kids, so it's good to stock up on some items. Fruit, granola bars, juice boxes, yogurt, milk, half and half, cereal, chips......and MOST IMPORTANTLY a case of bottled water and a case of beer(cans..oh, well). Now, it does fill up our luggage rack quite nicely and it looks a bit silly having plastic grocery bags dangling from the cart bars, but that's certainly worth an extra few dollars for the bellhop.
We are now stocked for the week.
And since we stay at the Yacht Club, I have no problem plopping a beer or two in the stroller cup holder.

Oh, yeah, be sure to buy or pack a large freezer bag or two for the cold items! A couple of bucks in the store.

to order beer from garden grocer you need to call them directly. they take the alcohol order separate from you food order. you can not do this online. they deliver with the other items you purchase. hope this helps

I do this too when we drive. I unload a suitcase in the room at the resort and bring it back to the car for the water and such, works wonders.

A case costs $40 in PA (and Orlando)?

It may be worth it to drive to Ohio. Most of the brands you list can be purchased for under $20/case here.
