Beds at POFQ?

I've read reviews on different sites that the beds at this resort can be uncomfortable. Has anyone here found that to be the case?

I've heard some hotels let you request a mattress pad- is that the case at this hotel based on anyone's experience?

When we went in 2002 we stayed at PORiverside Alligator Bayou and I thought the bed was plenty soft and plush, but we've never stayed at FQ before. I know a firm mattress means very little sleep for me so I'm a little worried. (Its the Disney Princess in me I guess. LOL):p

No Problems.

Hi there,we stayed at FQ in 2006 and RS in 2008 & 2010,no problem at any resort but I suppose everyone has a favourite type of mattress, soft, med, firm, etc. Now I know that both resorts have went under renovations in the last year but Iam not sure if this included new bedding?Maybe if someone reads your thread and has just returned can confirm this.

All new beds and mattresses have been installed in the rooms at FQ last year. They even changed from two doubles to two queens! We love the beds there, not to hard.

We stayed at POFQ in January, and I thought the beds were wonderful - not too hard at all. I slept like a rock all week. :snore::snore:

I have stayed at POFQ ever since I can recall...I have NEVER found the beds to be uncomfortable.

ALL of the beds were redone last year along with the complete resort refurb. The sleeping should be the last thing to worry about when booking here....

thank you thank you. What great news. You read things on those generic hotel review boards and you just don't know how much faith to put in the reviews sometimes. Somehow I knew this would be a good place to come to find out the straight story. YAY. Even more excited now.

We'd always had such great luck- Wilderness Lodge, Coronado, PORiverside- each had been great and wonderful mattresses- glad to hear that POFQ is more of the same.

Thanks again- love hearing more from folks who have just been there. Makes the trip feel even closer.:sohappy:

Any of those review boards are a little hard to go by. Remember most people will go on there to complain, but not if they were pleased. Many of the people on these boards however have been to the resort in question, in some cases many times over (Sheepishly raises hand) so we have first hand knowedge of the properties you are referring to and in most cases far more up to date than the last critique on those sites. Always a good idea to get a balanced view by checking in here as well. Also keep in mind I dont think you can go wrong with a Disney resort. Even the rare occasion when I had a room that wasnt up to standards, a quick phone call to the Front Desk got me moved to a room that was perfect. Make sure you take a cruise down the Sassagoula River for me!!!! Marie
