Ok, sitting here w/ the kids warming up w/cocoa watching travel channel ( oh, today is a snow day)...anyway, Samantha Brown was enjoying the Beach Club and she went to Beaches & Cream and had a "kitchen sink" ok, now the kids want to go there on our trip in June and they want to get a kitchen sink, but they want to know, can you buy the dish itself? also what will be the easiest way to get there? our options include 1) going directly from our resort which depending on codes will be either Movies, Pop Century or CBR. thanks for any info!

Don't know about being able to buy the sink, but I was there during our honeymoon and a young fella ordered one........and was able to finish it! As I understood it, if a customer is able to finish all in the sink, there is no charge and a photo is taken for a "wall of fame". We saw him later that day @ EPCOT and he seemed perfectly fine even after eating all that ice cream.

You can take the WDW buses to the Yacht/Beach club resorts and walk to the rear of the building (where the pools are). Beaches and Cream is located on the Yacht side(?), I think. It's been over 5 years since we've been back.

Yeah, Beaches and Cream is on the Beach side... it's right by the pool and I'm sure you can even get there from the lobby of the Beach.

WOW~ we were sitting there watching it, wondering if we could eat it all, meaning the whole gang~ I think I'd be sick for a week if I even tried to eat it all myself!

If you have a car on-site, driving your own car will be the easiest way to get to the Beach Club from any of the resorts listed. Since there are no direct resort-to-resort buses (unless the buses are already on the same route, such as the bus that stops at the Yacht Club, Beach Club and Boardwalk on the way to the Magic Kingdom), to take a Disney bus from any of the listed resorts will require a transfer at the TTC or Downtown Disney. That will take up to (if not more than) an hour to do, while the direct drive will only take about 10 - 15 minutes.

I am the biggest ice cream freak ever.
wdwhoneymooner, do you know if they still take you're pic if u finish it? I could probably do it (if i didn't eat anything that day before it) or, can anyone confirm this? thanks!

If you are traveling from MGM take the Friendship boat to Y/BC.
If you are coming from EPCOT take the boat from the International Gateway or walk to the BC. It's a great place to eat lunch but try to avoid peak lunch and dinner times. 4'oclock is a good time for an afternoon snack or early dinner.
From the MK, AK, waterparks or Downtown Disney take the resort buses to the BC.
You need your resort parking permit to park your car on hotel property.
However you get there it is worth the effort!

We always visist B&C every visist (even when we don't stay at Y&B.) Often we will walk over from Epcot WS, instead of eating at Epcot (there is many options there) If you aren't going to a park, take a bus to DTD or another park and hop on a Y&B bus.

You can also take the boat from MGM and get off at Y&B.

We love beaches and cream. They do have the best burgers in the world.

I am such a dessert fan so I thought I could at least give it a shot! I went with my sister, brother and boyfriend and we BARELY made a dent..... the thing melted so fast that the table was covered in globs of melting ice cream! And we are pretty big eaters! It was SOOOOOOOO much fun though!

I suggest trying it! The sundaes there are about $7-8 each and the kitchen sink is $21... (at least it was when we went) ... so it was cheaper then 1 sundae for each of us, plus it was really fun! I think that you can keep the sink if you finish it, but I might be wrong.

Sorry to report, but you cannot keep or purchase the sink. It is located at Beach Club around where the pool is. It is extra yummy and makes a great end to any day!!:slurp: This is our home resort and our favorite place to go! Be careful though... They stay pretty packed from open to close!

Thanks for all of the info, and Sewin2Disney, don't be shy, if you don't ask then you won't know! We definately will have a vehicle as we are driving down from Illinois (unless we get some great airfare bargain like we did in '02 $99 roundtrip from St.Louis Mo.). I think though we will go as a break from one of the parks as that sounds like the easiest way. If we do go from our resort and park will our parking pass be valid at that resort?

Yummy!! We love the burgers and the endless amount of soda that they keep bringing out to you. I had some type of chocolate and peanut butter thing...I can't remember the name but it was catchy!! Now I want ice-cream!!:slurp:

When you check in they should give you a parking permit. Just put it on your dashboard. The guards at the gate will look at it and either wave you through or ask you why you are there. But you shouldn't have a problem.

Have Fun!

Does anyone have a picture of the Kitchen Sink, or if anyone is going soon and plans on eating there, could you possibly get me a picture? I would love to see how big it is! (and the cool sink "bowl" it comes in)
Thanks!

After hours and hours of exhaustive searching :lookaroun ...

Here ya go!!!!!

And I also got the No Way Jose... worth the entire trip. I will have to go back and edit my trip report... should I ever find I have 24 hours to live, I'm hopping the next plane to WDW, getting a No Way Jose, rushing over to the MK and eating that while watching Wishes. Life could not possibly get better.

Oh, and Beaches and Cream is wayyyyyy too small! So cramped! They could perhaps steal some space from the arcade next door so I can go and eat ice cream more often, couldn't they?
