Beaches & Cream:

The ambiance of the place is perfect and fits the resort and location. It truly feels like you are on the North East.

I so badly wanted to try the Kitchen Sink but it was way too much ice cream for 2 people.

Our server was PHENOMENAL. He was very attentive and recommend the best food and dessert selections. My boyfriend got the Roast Beef (let me tell you, it is not your typical Roast Beef sandwich). This was like a philly cheese stake but only roast beef. It looked delicious and tasted even better. My boyfriend was so happy with it that the manager over head and personally came to the table and gave us some extra Disney magic :sohappy:. She said that the roast beef was only 2 weeks old, they went to a new recipe. I got the burger and fries, it was good but not spectacular. The roast beef gets an A+ and the burger gets a B.

For desert, I got the brownie sundae and my boyfriend got the strawberry sundae - both were DELICIOUS!!!)

The overall experience was so good that the server got a huge tip on top of the 18% Tables in Wonderland automatic tip plus a personal note from us to the manager thanking them for a wonderful experience.

Ohana is one of the best moderately priced table service restaurants on Disney property.

The food is out of this world. The only problem is that the steak (beef) is not cooked to well done. There was blood dripping out of mines. I prefer my meat to be BURNT! It was still red on the inside. The pork, turkey was delicious. The veggies, shrimp, noddles and wings were out of this world!! The BREAD - was PHENOMENAL!! The dessert was phenomenal.

The server was not that great. She paid attention to her guests who had larger parties (we was a party of 2). We had to wait for about 15 minutes for refills of the meat because she kept talking to her larger party guests.

Had a great view of the Bay Lake and the Magic Kingdom.

I have made 2 reservations for my upcoming trip.

Boma

The fact of being at the AKL was great. The resort is beyond georgeous. I can appreciate the MK resorts but AKL is sheer perfection. The interior and exterior truly make you feel like your in Africa. The observation areas are GREAT. I saw lots of animals on our visit and it was freezing that night.

Boma itself is a good resturant. Not really what I expected fully but it was good. A huge variety of food which I can appreciate. I enjoyed everything as did my boyfriend. We sampled everything. The deserts are delicious - I finally got a Zebra Dome - I do not really know what all the hype is about these, they were only OK to me.

The chefs, manager and servers were all congenial and made for a great experience. I appreciated that a lot of the staff was directly from Africa - they answered a lot of questions.

One of the highlights was outside of the resturant. AKL has cast members who stand around the observation areas talking about the animals, pointing them out, answering questions, etc. That was great.

I am going back to AKL but not really to Boma.

Tables in Wonderland

For those who are Annual Passholders, I stronly urge you to invest in Tables in Wonderland. I saved a ton of money using my card in the value food courts and at different resturants on property.

Love Ohanas also. We will be having a fun filled reception there in March. Can't wait!!!:sohappy: Never have tried Bomas. Would like to, but afraid of some of the items they use. Fiance is allergic to peaches, apricots and mangos. Could not eat at Spirit of Aloha due to his allergy. Bummer:(

Thanks for your review!!

I know a lot of people like their meat rare but I like my meat BURNT. The sight of redness or blood makes me sick. To each their own but I can only eat very well done to burnt.
