We couldn’t get booked for yacht club originally this year but when it came available we switched from beach to yacht. Yacht has balconies for every room, that was important for us particularly given we were guaranteed a storm every day in August. Beach is a very short walk to Epcot if you get the right room but yacht isn’t much further.

We definitely liked the more updated rooms at YC As well as having a balcony. Also, when sharing buses with BC, YC is the first to pick up and drop off.
Today is last full day of 9 night trip staying at Beach Club.
The bad - the gift shop and quick service are woefully small compared to other resorts. Also it had a sewage smell to it? Only in there.
Yes, the rooms are a bit worn, but the hotel side is currently being refurbished, saw it firsthand. Also, they are repainting the woodwork a white on the ground floor, at least the walkways and it looks great! Very bright and airy.
There was (is) a big convention at Yacht and they take up a lot of room at the lounge during the night if you wanted to go there.
The great - cast members were fantastic. Quiet at night for sleeping.
Ale & Compass lounge and restaurant are fantastic!
Bus service was excellent.
Can't stress how fast the walk to Epcot or the Skyliner is.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay here.

Just snagged a 2 BR Villa at Boulder Creek. There are only 3 of us so we will have plenty of room. The full size kitchen we will certainly make good use of. Just made the change and I am going to surprise them!!

We didn't share buses with BW the entire time we were there at the end of April. Also, we had great luck with the buses. Never more than a 10 minute wait.
Interestingly we are considering the opposite move for 2024, we are nervous about not staying at yacht club but interested at how good FQ or RS could be for a considerable saving. We bottled it this year and upgraded to Yacht Club.
