Going in September for our 20th anniversary. I've stayed at Boardwalk with friends and loved it, husband has never stayed deluxe, we've always done value or moderate. We are looking to stay Deluxe and love the idea of walking to Epcot and love the boat. Sooo... head back to Boardwalk or go with Beach Club for this trip? (We won't be spending any time at the pool)

Tough choice.

Beach Club's Advantages:
- Best feature pool area
- Shorter walk to EPCOT
- Quieter, more relaxing waterfront
- More egress points

Boardwalk Advantages:
- Shorter Walk to Studios
- More exciting waterfront

Staying at the Boardwalk, our room was on the interior Garden/Pool of the Inn side, which was very nice. It was near the EPCOT end of the resort. However, to actually get to EPCOT from the room, one has to make quite a long walk back through the hotel to the central lobby, exit the building and then retrace your steps on the boardwalk. If you were in a similar room (far from lobby, close to EPCOT) at the Beach Club, you could simply exit at that end of the hotel and be in EPCOT in moments.

I'd choose Beach Club at the moment.

If you're not spending time at the pool, I'd go with Boardwalk.
If you love spending time at the pool I might pick Boardwalk LOL

Honestly in the end it is really "flip a coin" because they are both great. I find BC to be more quiet than BW. I like that I don't have to go outside for food or shopping as well. BW has some great lounges and I like the pool set ups there more. You can also get to Swan/Dolphin faster.

I might try for something new if I were you but really you cannot go wrong with either.

Couple of things. I researched all 3 Epcot resorts ALOT. I had quite a few co-workers just get back from trips where some stayed at Yacht Club, some Boardwalk, some Beach Club. They wished they stayed at Beach Club in the end. They said not only was it nicer, but there were too many dogs at the Yacht Club and some weren't quiet. It also wasn't "policed" at all they said as far as where they were allowed to walk their dogs. Some dogs were also on furniture in the main lobby.

As far as Boardwalk, one of their only complaints (besides the creepy clown pool) was that they got a waterfront room and it was so noisy that they had trouble getting to sleep some nights.

With that all being said, I personally picked Beach Club and it wasn't JUST because of the pool. It's just really nice and close to Epcot. If you can't get to stay at Beach Club then I'd do Boardwalk. I would not stay at Yacht Club but that's just my opinion. People should leave their dogs at home to be honest.

I prefer the theming and decor of Boardwalk rooms over Beach Club rooms. And while both are within walking distance of each other...if it's a 20th anniversary, are you planning on being a park commando dawn to dusk? Because being right at the Boardwalk with the restaurants and bars and what little night life there is...that strikes me as being potentially more romantic.

But if none of that interests you OR you like Beach Club significantly more to the point that schlepping over to Boardwalk for Jellyrolls or Abracadabar or Atlantic is no biggie, than listen to your heart.

Really want to stay at BC on my next trip. I'm more interested in the parks than the pools but it does look like an awesome pool there. It doesn't seem like the theming is much to write home about in that it just looks like a nice resort rather than a nice Disney resort, but I guess that doesn't really bother me. I did stay at Boardwalk on a recent stay in a one bedroom villa and really enjoyed it. I was a bit far down the wing headed toward HS high up overlooking the quieter pool. I would have preferred that it has a place like the Mara at AK for breakfast, but the trek out to the bakery on the Boardwalk each morning to stock up and bring it back to the room really wasn't too bad. (Or stop at France in Epcot the night before and bring some goodies home.) I enjoyed the bustle of the boardwalk and really liked being near that back Epcot entrance for meals in the Showcase. If you stay at Boardwalk, and you know you're going to be in a room way down that wing toward HS, try to get a corner room at the end - they're larger and have more private balconies. You're also very close to the bus stop down at that end and it's also a much shorter walk to HS. As long as you don't mind the longer walk to the Boardwalk...

This isn’t even a competition, in my eyes. Beach Club all day long. First, it’s a closer walk to Epcot and you indicated that you want to go there. Second, the Boardwalk has nowhere to eat inside the resort. Walking outside to the actual boardwalk to find something to eat might not sound like that big of a deal, but just wait until you are hungry during one of Florida’s famous downpours. Third, I realize you said that you won’t be spending any time at the pool, but one close up look at Stormalong Bay and I’m willing to bet you might change your mind for a couple of hours or so. And you will be glad that you did. Fourth, as for theming, neither of these resorts really take the cake in that regard, but IMO the Boardwalk has to be one of the worst. Obviously, I’m only offering my own personal opinions here, but I have stayed at both resorts multiple times and, now that I have, I will never go back to the Boardwalk. I would be willing to wager that you will think the same thing if you give the Beach Club a try.

Anyway, no matter which you decide, I hope you have the best vacation of your life and happy anniversary in advance to the both of you!
