Any info would be greatly appreciated...this is my first post...HI!!!

I know this is a pretty general question...if you would like to send me to another thread, that would be fine, too...I just don't know where to start!!

We will be there the first week of November in a standard room....view isn't terribly important to us...but for that amount of money...I would prefer not to look at garbage or cars (who would???)

Also, we are scheduled for the Ohana breakfast our first morning....I have heard it could take a while to get there from the Beach Club...would anyone suggest changing it to the Cape May Cafe Character breakfast...our boys want to see Stitch...but I don't want to spend hours getting to and from and eating breakfast...

One last thing..is it necessary to reserve for Cape May for dinner?

Any other info is appreciated!!! Thanks!

Not so sure what qualifies for standard view at the Beach Club but I can tell you overall this is a gorgeous resort.
For the breakfast at O'Hana's what time are you in for? this is important as then you could just take the bus to the Magic Kingdom and take the monorail around if your time is 9 am or later ( assuming that the bus that morning starts at 8am) Also check and see if for that day the MK might be open earlier than that to resort guest ( Extra Magic Hours!)
It is not necessary to make a reservation (Advance Dining Reservation in Disney- speak) for any sit down location, however it is a REALLY good idea to do so and with some of the more popular dining spots, if you dont have an ADR, you arent getting in!!
Any other quesions, please feel free to post and I will do my best to answer!! Belle

I stayed at the Beach Club a few weeks ago... and just payed for the standard room. I got a nice charming view of a courtyard.. I couldn't even see the parking lot!

Our breakfast reservation is at 9:20...so I just don't know what we should do...it seems like such a hassle to get up and do all that moving so early just to get to a different resort.....ugh, I just don't know what to do..

Can anyone direct me to where I could see a layout of the rooms? I wouldn't even know what to request (or even if I could request) upon check-in....without knowing, I am afraid they would stick us in a non-desirable room?? That is, if there is such a thing at the Beach Club!

My boys are excited about the pool...the name escapes me now...sorry..I am so new to this! We have been to Disney many times but have never stayed on site!

The Breakfast thing?? I say go for it. You would have to leave the resrt at about 8:15 or so. Get the bus to Magic Kingdom and then take the Monorail over to the Polynesian. It really wont be bad at all. The Monorail is a cool little thing and to walk off there and right into the hotel is pretty neat. I havent done O'hanas for breakfast but I hear good things about it. Plus the one on one time with the kids and characters is going to be all worth it. Make sure you stock up on film ( digital media), Videotapes, recharge the batteries and possibly pick up an autograph book for each of the kids before you go to breakfast!!! Belle

I was looking at an old map of the Boardwalk area that also shows the Yacht and Beach Club. I'm not 100% certain but I don't think there are any room that look out over a service area or parking lot. A few of the rooms may look out over the drop off driveway at the main door. Most of the "standard" rooms will either be facing the Beach Club Villas wing with a large grassy courtyard between them or looking out at the woods between Beach Club and Epcot.
Here's a link to some pics of the grounds and the rooms at Beach Club.

If any of this info is grossly inaccurate, I'll be at the beach club on November 5th, maybe the same time as you all, so you can come over and correct me.
